Well, sh*t, if you've been MULLING on it for this long...why not use one of your debadged emblems to try it out first?! Use the TL one...it has a lot of surface area. If you hate it...don't do the A! If you do the A anyway and hate it, it's only 40 bucks to replace. or plastidip!

speaking of pictures. the one i quoted with the color pop, i had shared with my buddy on my other AZ and he pointed out you missed the tress through the open windows. i hadn't noticed it, but thought maybe you would want to fix it?

if you dont wanna cut the top, I suggest raising the roof from the back (something like a roof pop) by as little as 2mm....this wont be noticeable but you will be able to see the temperature in the engine bay drop further...
also I hope you have TB spacer and Thermal gaskets and Coolant Bypass....
After drive on a hot hot day I can prolly sticky my tongue to the TB for hours....seriously....

I did the coolant bypass...and throttle body spacer I haven't done or the thermal gaskets. I guess I should eventually do that. The 2mm spacing thing...figured I actually did that by taking off the rubber gasket that stops air from coming out from on top of the cowl. Maybe not...we'll see how far I take it. If I buy a hotkknife, I may get creative and cut some new openings.

^^^ yes the thermal gaskets are the 2mm thingie....
in the TL (or any other car) the heat transfers by physical contact....the thermal gaskets slow it down as plastic is a better insulator than metal....
I would suggest putting a manifold thermal gasket between the manifold and runners (assuming you dont have MDX spacer) and sandwiching the P2R spacer in 2 thermal gaskets....
A lot of people say this is not worth the $$$ but i disagree as I saw the difference right off the bat on a hot summer day.....the car was running a lot better....felt like the stolen low end was back....i was able to pull on 4th from 20mph....she just felt very lively....

Yes I do have an AEM CAI (the orginal version) which is heavily insulated in reflective foil and have an oversized AEM filter
So much air, its now time for upgraded injectors

this coming from the 2 thousand dollar custom exhaust guy...holy hell, I really should stop listening to you before I go broke.
I will say this...I am more tempted to lower the under hood temp than to stop the ambient heat transfer to the TB. Hmm...I'll price the spacer...maybe it is worth it. I don't think I'll be MDX'ing it up though...I don't want a raised hood and I don't want my intake to sit higher...porting and polishing are also not in the plans for me. I'm already much, MUCH more modded than I ever thought I'd be.

Thanks man...very nicely done! I love your photo skills! (and subjects most of the time...sorry, still haven't forgiven you...).
Went to stance nation today...very nice cars there...made me feel like my car wasn't even modded. I should trade in for something practical and just leave it stock. RIGHT...
PS...stay tuned for my version of the ultimate cooling mod.

What's more practical than a 4-door car?
You mentioned RWD in my thread. If I had the money I would be going after a 2G CTS-V.
