No kidding...I got lucky...so technically...I bought the HFP from hollman honda down here...after it was discontinued, they were liquidating so they sold me those wheels, and the entire lip kit for $1100. So after selling what I could of the kit for a few hundred here and there, and eventually selling the EP wheels...I actually ended up making money on that car transaction and paid for a few mods including megans for the rsx.

sometimes is a good thing....my ex girls brother recently got totaled and he was actually crying....it was a modded honda accord and i told him its a good thing it happened.....

he owed $$$ on it and he wasnt able to make payments....he hadnt done much maintenance on it....tons of miles without taking care off....i told him its a good thing as its better that insurance gave him $$$ rather than his tranny taking a dump and he shelling out 2-3K on a new tranny/rebuild.....

so sometimes its a boon....

Thanks man...I had gotten a new job within the company and I thought I needed a truck. So I went and got the Frontier...the Accord was just about paid off and drove just fine. Only thing I would have changed is I wouldn't have gotten that SUPER cheap $400 single stage paintjob that looked TOTALLY dull within a month. I should have gotten a decent suspension for that car...wetsanded it and been the first flat black accord and called it a day.

for your xc8 wheels are you running the tpms from your oem wheels or did you go aftermarket?

Thanks man...I have to say, I'm a big fan of that myself. the lip makes the front of the car!

about TPMS...I think you need the strap kind of tpms and just have it mounted before putting tires on. That should work. OR, you can pic a really nice picture of something you don't mind looking at and cover the orange TPMS light that lights up when you don't have them installed.

Hey Fellas, thanks!
Jelly, huh...lol...that actually made me laugh. I swear, every time I lower it more, I figure...too low...I raise it back up and within a day I put it back down. Once you get used to it, it's hard to ride higher! Although your ride is probably a LOT better than mine!

RJ...you don't miss no TL you prius modding fool! If I ever end up going hybrid I'll do you proud, don't worry.

well considering i paid $300 for springs/shocks, and then 2 weeks ago i saw coils (i think function&form?) for like $450 with 10k miles on them...and my last car was a "track" setup anyway. i think it rides too soft still. too much floating. floating is less comfortable in my mind

i think it would be very interesting to put our cars next to each other.

If stiff is what you're after (lol) then F&F and Megans are what you want. You can probably make money back on your setup and resell. You should have jumped on the F&F's at that price!

I'm about as low as I can go and as firm as I want it...Tein SS. I'm happy as a piglet with them.

I wish you were closer, we'd definitely set up a photoshoot.

yeah dude you're a day away. LOL there are probably some epic photo shoot spots in between ....*ahem* tail of the dragon *ahem*

i'm thinking maybe i'll just cut some of the dead coil area off my springs to get teh extra 1/4" off i want.

and yes, i like em stiff. no homo.

what are the spring rates of SS's?

Thanks buddy! Very much and trust me, duly noted. Yeah, I need to make a safer video with more of a focus on lighting and better recorder. Problem for me is I like to be the one driving AND the one snapping pics/video...so it never ends up happening.

She ain't too bad to look at either...

After many, many duds...I finally got it right.

As promised, got my dash-topper brand dash topper, did sedona suede in black. Initially, thought it felt flimsy right out of the box...but in hindsight this is probably so it doesn't look like you have a huge rug on your dash. After install I have to say that I'm absolutely super happy with it and the idea of dash replacement and cracks on dash is gone from my mind. I'm fine with this. Even my fiance says she thinks it looks great and she was against this.

Put it on my dash for a day without velcro just for fitment.

Tweaked a bit, rubbed down with ipa in areas where i was going to velcro. I used some industrial white home depot velcro. You only use the hook side of it...so makes it easy to make adjustments. Install took me an hour but was very easy. Also, I don't like advertisements on my dash so tag came off...it ripped the stitching, but I can fix that even though you don't see it.

Marked my tweets with china pencil and cut out an X, forced tweets in sideways and cut the x bigger and bigger till it sat flush.

AND here is the end result! SUPER HAPPY!

Thanks Tyler...
Honestly, I probably wouldn't mod the car this way if I wasn't forced, but now that I've done it I'd consider it for future cars. Adds another layer of texture to the look of the car without looking obnoxious. Good alternative to handing the dealer 750 bucks. Or 400, even.
