Wow...you can do some serious ZOOMING with that one, Steven!

Ok, went to the park across from my job for vindication for my sh*tty pictures last weekend. I still need to learn more about manual settings.

The engine cover pictures were a little too bright, so did a little touchup on one. New Screensaver!

When shooting manual, dont forget to check the histogram too!

You cant judge the picture by the cameras lcd screen. Learn to read the histogram and you will thank me later. lol

You can access this feature by pressing the down arrow button when viewing pictures. GL

Your pics look good J! you already know how to compose your subjects

Beautiful pics man. I love the clarity with DSLRs. What camera do you have?

SN: When can we meet so you can walk me through the accord fog installation?

I definitely will learn how to do that...I know I can set it up to show me the histogram after every shot. But I'll get on that. Thanks for the tip!
Composing subjects...does that mean how to set up the subject in relation to where it sits in the picture/foreground/backround/surroundings etc?

Thank you!

I shoot with a Canon 30D with a 50MM F1.8 Lens (lately). Thanks, man! It's a work in progress.
About the Fogs...FK NO...I will never do Accord fogs again or help with it...it's so hit or miss and there's no right way to do it so it's not like you can follow instructions. I helped one friend, but since I'd done it before I was left to do the trimming etc...and then I felt responsible for whether or not it looked good. LOL...no way. I would look into the inspire fogs though...like dwb993 has.

Well... that story totally unmotivates me.. lol. How many installs have you done/assisted?

The Inspire fogs look hot though. I'm just not real handy without some sort of guide to follow. The Accord fogs are an easier proposition with all the diagrams/pictures out there.

Don't be discouraged, man...
I've only done mine...then I did his with him (Heatseeker) and swore I wouldn't tackle them again. I guess it's really not THAT difficult just really disheartening to have to work with no real guide on what to cut. In that sense, it's great because you CAN'T really fk it up since there's no right or wrong.

Dang...yeah, sorry Anil...it looks like that link actually got changed after the 6pm news or something...so now it's slightly different and she's not in it. Get this, after her whopping 5 seconds of fame...she got like 5 new "creepy facebook friend" requests...LOL.

Thank you very much BTW...I'm still trying to get it...i think the better you get, the more critical of your work you become. My favorite were the 2nd picture and the last one that I retouched.

One thing I can say is...the better your work gets, the better you want to make your work, and even though beautiful shots can be captured, they can end up "meh".

Happened to be in NC taking pics of the mountains. Surrounded by beautiful landscapes the whole time, but only a select few scenes were picture worthy (in my head).

Hope that makes sense.

Loving the bay, have better shots? Orange as an accent color is sick. Why didn't you use orange for lights and lugs?

I have burnt copper and stainless steel line in my bay

Makes total sense...and the funny thing is...when you're kinda ignorant and first start out, you think EVERY EFFIN PICTURE IS AWESOME! Then, you get good and you like about 2% of what you shoot. I take about 60 pictures now...and i scroll through them until the position of the car or the image just GRABS me...then I write down the picture number for upload.

Hmmm...somewhere in this mess of a thead, I had made a DIY of it...but I'd have to look for it buddy. I don't really know...I guess I liked the blue since it went with the flake of the car. I do really love the copper though...could done that on engine bay, brake calipers and lugs.

Love the new shots, J.

The car looks so low on the grass. The bridge pics are cool too. Hope you didn't get in trouble for driving your car on the bridge.

Thanks, i haven't done much more, as of now I've put on reservoir sock covers (black) on, and painted the caps in the same copper. I painted the window wash reservoir tube in black as well...your coolant reservoir would look good in black

Hey...watch your mouth! That's my Dad you're talking about!
Yeah, he throws just about anything in general. He used to be able to throw knives from 25 feet away...about 2 full revolutions. I have the knack too...but I'm only good from 8 feet away...1/2 revolution. The forks are fun to throw!

Dan...I know it, man. Was being funny! My Dad's a cool hippie dude...
I did the covers with a high temp primer first, then vht engine enamel in copper, then regular clear. They've got some scuffs here and there, but really, still look decent.

24no7... Thank you, man! And don't worry...your secret will be safe in this thread where you won't get flamed for wanting the wing spoiler. I honestly can say that I love that my car is one of the few that has it. EVERYONE is doing lip spoiler and roof spoiler.

When I first did it, I hadn't painted the intake cover yet OR the front portion of the cover

J, are you spot metering? Gotta make ssure your cam is set to spot. Pick your focus area then adjust. In most of them, your car is under-exposed, but it looks split between the background and your car. hence my asking. Seems like it may be matrix?

Jeremy, just a suggestion, but you might consider painting your A/C caps and your windshield washing fluid cap.

I painted mine-getting rid of the baby blue makes a big difference.

I agree with Steven, paint the caps, washer fluid, and the coolant reservoir, do them in black, more copper might be a bit much.
