I may be driving my car down there next year to get a hella cheap 105k service. Would ya all have a beer or ten if I drive down? It'll be Lakeland, FL.

Not sure. I asked him last night, jokingly, because he lives in FL. Lol. He said drive her on down!
I assume we can gather parts a lot cheaper then he can. But the install done by a pro will be nice.
I'll ask him. I will probably go ahead and do a new clutch at the same time.

Just because I needed more of a side by side...
Of course the turn signal wasn't quite finished in that first one.
J - Are the diffusers drilled out bigger in this last set of pics?

Also, I like them both for different reasons. The supers are more chill, darker. The stripes are more bam in your face. The strips go better with your car J. I think the 'supers' would go best with light cars (WDP, ASM, etc) and the strips go better with dark. As mentioned before, contrast.
I'll say this though. I prefer either of them to any other set of tails I've seen. Personally I think the base reds are where it's at.
Also, imo, the red stripes would look killer on Aaron's purpleness.

Tails look good... it catches the eye.. I still love that spoiler.. I think that is why I would never get one since I would always compare it to yours
a part of me wants you to paint your mufflers a dark gray to match the a-spec and/or black.. leav the tips shiny for the contrast...
but painting mufflers are a pain in the ass

Thanks for putting that together, Chad.
Here you go...I'll blow your mind, I took the time to pull 1 of each out of the attic to display the options. I tend to agree, for someone looking for a beefed up OEMish looking tail, the reds are a sure shot.

Oh, and Chad...originally I had drilled the bottom ones out slightly larger, when I fixed them on Friday I drilled them all out to that size. I did an experiment of going increasingly bigger and it almost made no difference in the "halo" looking effect on the leds so I didn't bother with it.

I almost refrained from photochopping those quickly together because I figure you'd come through like that. Lol
What kind of tint are you using?
Edit: For being "all red" housing the stripes are incredibly eye catching. And add depth.

It's amazing how much the chrome bezel behind them is what makes them POP so much.
I used various things, I had tinted brake diffuser lenses from my modded old USR smoked tails that I sold...so I used those, with a smoked vinyl over, plastidip on the lower reflector and VHT on the turn signal area.

Nice! I can't wait to get my hands dirty!
It'd be cool to see the stripes completely lit up. Possibly with the turn signal on... Maybe a quick clip??

Woot!
God damn that chrome under there looks like neon in the FL sun!
So it did cut down on the turn signal output. But only a little...
Thanks J!
