great looking car dude! is a roof spoiler in your future plans? i think it would set your aspec kit off PERFECTLY, with a deck lid spoiler as well!

Thanks man! I didn't think my car would come along this far since then but I'm not complaining

You going to East Coast Honda next month? I think we are trying to get a huge caravan to roll up there.

Thank you sir!

Personally I'm not a huge fan of the roof spoiler. I think it looks great on other member's rides, but I wouldn't want it on my car. I'm trying to keep the car sleek and clean and I feel like the roof spoiler sort of interrupts the sleek look of the top half of the car. Just my opinion though.

I will be getting the lip spoiler though. Not sure exactly when but hopefully within the next year. I can afford everything on my "<1 year mod list" right now, but I need to let all of my recent mods sink in. I don't want to get bored with the car anytime soon. I'm keeping her until she bites the dust

I'll hopefully be bringing a few members from NC.

And I like the Type-S lip but I don't want it on my car. I will just be getting the 04-06 lip.

Thanks man!

I hated how WDP looked with chrome-like emblems. Since most of the parts on the outside of the car are either black or dark colored, I thought black emblems would give a nice contrast and somewhat break up the white.

Damn Tyler, you've been busy! Your car is looking better and better, keep it up! I'm getting jealous already btw, I love the CL

Taillights are legit Sooooo much better looking then the blacked out ones. I really want to see them in person cuz I still haven't decided what to do with my taillights but you know me, power mods first then I'll work on improving the looks

Very nice work man...love seeing the progress. Car looks real clean. The WDP type s lip spoiler would look sick on your car. And if you want to shine those exhaust tips up...some wd-40 and flitz or mother's mag polish will do the trick great. I had the same black stuff on mine, came off with some effort & polishing.

Thanks Alex! I miss my CL-S TL's are a dime a dozen around here. I'll see maybe one CL a week.

I love the tails too! They look much much much better than my last set. Whenever you decide to do a set for your car, buy a set of OEM tails, not DEPO. My fitment is off. Not terrible but without a doubt noticeable in person.

And do you make the TL faster so it makes up for the Volvo?

Thank you!

You can't tell in the pictures but the car is filthy. It had rained two days in a row before the pictures were taken, hence the dirty tailpipes. I use Bar Keepers Friend to clean them and that stuff is awesome!

I really like the 04-06 lip spoiler but you are the 2nd or 3rd person to mention the Type-S one. I may have to look into it now.

Oh damn, I'll keep that in mind! I've never had luck with DEPO/aftermarket parts, I try to buy OEM if it doesn't break the bank.

And the Volvo lol oh man the Volvo, I'm not driving it anymore It's sitting in the driveway with a flat tire and I'm trying to sell it If I get at least $500 I'll be happy!

Fitment isn't terrible, but it's not exactly what I had in mind. The DEPO tails were fine until I put them on the car.

Aw poor Volvo. I would buy it from you if I had the money. I've been thinking about making the TL the garage queen and getting some little dookie shit to drive around. I've put 26k miles on the TL in less than two years.

Thank you once again Steven! I'm glad you approve.

I would love darker tint, most likely 15% all around with 35% on the windshield, but I get pulled almost bi-weekly for bullshit and I don't want to give the cops around here to pull me. I already put on my license plate cover back on that I got pulled for a month ago. That's pushing it.

Btw the legal limit in NC is 32.0. My tint reads out 32.0 on the nose. Ballin!

I'm glad you got that stripe off.

What's first? Headights or tails?
ill probably do the heads, tails, and side markers all at the same time!

Do you really want to know?

Oven cleaner.

My pinstripe was paint, not vinyl. I got on Google with Roger from the meet and looked up how to remove it. Basically you spray some oven cleaner on a Q-tip, rub it over the pinstripe, and let it sit for 2 minutes. Then take a soft towel or some shit, apply pressure, and rub it off.

I can't remember where you are from, but here in America, we use trucks to go off-roading, not Volvos

After everything I've posted in this thread, that's all you had to say?

You put on that many miles because you live so damn far from work. Plus you drive to Cary quite a bit whenever I need help with mods

Ehhh, it's the only thing I've felt like responding too. I only live 32 miles from work. Not very far. I think driving to Cary to help your slow ass has put more miles on my car than anything

Not even anything about the tails? I see how it is.

32 miles one way? I drive 17 one way to school every morning.

And you've only come to my house twice to help with shit. Headlights and front lip.

Shoot me a number Morgan. You bought your CL-S in 08 correct? I'll say 45k.

If you don't seal them up properly, then yes. Daniel used plastic epoxy followed by a thick layer of silicone, the same silicone Jason and I used to seal up the headlights.

One thing I am running into, because of the fitment with the DEPO tails, is water sitting on top of the light. It's not a big deal, and it evaporates eventually, but it's frustrating to have the rest of the car dry and then have water there. Here's a picture for reference:

Not terrible but noticeable.

Anyways since this is MY thread, I can whore out my car

More pictures after the wash earlier today:

As you can see in that last picture, the tailpipes got a treatment with Bar Keepers Friend. That shit works wonders.

I'll be painting the inside of the tailpipes sometime this summer.

Thanks Morgan! I think a white car with black parts is the way to go.

I saw his CL-S for sale. I'm tempted but I would want a 6-speed swap and a new engine. Not cheap.

Damn you drive a shit ton. That's insane.

Lip spoiler is on my to-do list! I'm not a huge fan of roof spoilers though. I feel the top of the car flows really well and a spoiler only interrupts that look.

Just my of course.
