Back on topic, you guys see what these cars will do with tons of boost.
Now take the TL which has much better flowing heads and intake, bigger cams, etc, and the TL will make a lot more power at the same boost level. We just have to figure out this engine management, find out at what level the stock internals will live at with a good tune, and go from there. I will promise that the J32 is capable of 500+whp at 15psi.

Yeah, but it sucks because the imports hate them and the domestic V8 crowd hate them. There was a big uprising from the muscle car crowd when they termed it a muscle car back in the 80s because according to them a V6 can't be a muscle car lol. Then when the '89 turbo Trans AM came out, the Pontiac purists protested it being called a Trans-Am because it had a V6, even though it was a full second faster than the V8 powered GTA and Corvette at the time.
Going to Sonic on the weekends with the hood up, I've had to endure countless mean comments about the engine from the Chevy, Ford, and Viper crowd. It didn't matter how well it ran, the night I destroyed the Viper GTS with $700 in mods no one would give me any sort of credit. Everyone was convinced I had $20,000 in the engine and of course if you did that to a V8 it would be faster. Their feelings would've been hurt if they knew it was a tired 200,000 mile factory engine with a few bolt-ons.
Sorry for the rant, it's bringing back old memories.

It's a competition clucth disc for now along with stock pressure plate & flywheel .... I'm waiting on flywheel to be sent to me for testing... As far as clutch it's working fine does require a 500 mile break in ..,other than that clutch pedal feels like stock and I've logged over 2000 miles on it already ...

Just curious as a lot of haters have said in the past that any TL with over 350whp would be pointless on its FWD. Be awesome to throw it back in their faces.

511, though!? I know on a RWD or AWD car, that's pretty capable in street form, how would the TL's FWD system handle it without any modifications?

It will still be useless on the street below 100mph. If setup for the track, it's possible to put it down. I've run a 400hp Civic on the freeway, agreed to go from a 50mph roll and in the second it took for my turbo to spool I watched the guy smoking the tires at that speed.
A 500whp TL on anything less than drag radials will still get stomped to 40mph by a stock IS350 or 335. After that it should pass him like he's standing still. Drag radials are a must along with some real suspension mods.
My prediction is a 500hp FWD TL on drag radials should be able to hold even with a semi-powerful RWD car on normal tires. You won't be able to put the pedal to the floor without spinning until 60+mph on drag radials. Watch out for people like me running around on slicks on the street. You'll need to have 200hp on me to have a chance in the 1/4.

Personally I like RWD only for my level of power. Believe it or not it hooks better than the AWD cars I've raced. The main advantage of AWD is you can run a tire that still allows good cornering while retaining very good launching capabilities. This is by far the best aspect of AWD, a nice compromise between cornering and straight line traction for a street car.
As for the Acura system, it would be fun to find out what kind of power they could take as I don't believe anyone has ever found the limits. My guess is the clutch will be the weak link with 500+lbs of torque to put down. An auto trans will be much gentler on parts. After that, a somewhat safe guess would be the rear pumpkin or halfshafts.

0-60 on regular tires ? My goal would be a 12.5-12.9 quarter on premium gas and all season radials. Possible ?

400hp is an easy 12 second car. If you are a good driver and have it on drag radials, 400hp will push a 3,500lb car to a 12 flat with a lot of practice.

A front wheel drive car with 500 whp might be cool and would be pretty useless...if the owner only worked the engine and didn't build the rest of the car up to support the power.
The entire car would have to be upgraded to take the power and put it down usefully. Just thinking horsepower is pointless. A front wheel drive car putting down 500 whp with appropriately upgraded suspension, engine mounts, clutch, tires, (axles!?), etc. Now that would be something pretty cool. Its the big picture made up by the smaller details.

12 flat would be hard but yeah a real good driver and it would also depend gearing, suspension, FWD or RWD. A turbo B16 with 400hp will be a lot different then a 400hp supercharged v6 in a 3500lbs car...

400hp and 3500lbs will trap somewhere in the 114-116mph range. That's an 11 second RWD car or a mid-low 12 second FWD with an excellent driver with a well setup suspension and drag radials/slicks. I would bet an average driver going to the track for the first time, even on drag radials will likely run in the high 13s for the first few runs but should be able to bring it down into the 12s. Low 12s at that trap speed are possible but it will take many trips to the track and lots of practice.

So you are stating that ANY car that weighs 3500lbs and has 400hp will trap 114-116mph?
