I dont really have the engine cover....have the engine painted blue/black !!!! So if I mill it down 7mm (how much is the stock length btw ???) it will work the trick !!!

thanks a lot both of u for being prompt !!!!

Is this the cause of your rattle?

Had the same problem; and I did the same as Bearcat. I took an old rubber hose, cut it in half, then stuff it between the intake and the area of the noise. No more vibration.

Update:

Engine still going strong. I am very happy with the mod.

HOWEVER, the brake booster line rubbing on stock strut bar and even Richie's that I got after time really starting pissing me off. I spent a great deal of time, money, and effort into trying to make it perfect. I cut stock hose, added a different hose on angle, replaced that hose when wore out and split, replaced that hose with another that kinked due to heat and made me lose my brakes almost causing me an accident to replacing the hoses again to buying a new OEM hose (slightly different design from my stock one from Honda for our TL) to it working out but touching to finallly....

Notching Richie's Strut Bar (note: It is not purely hollow. The center one inch is solid and the outer edges are hollow about less than a corner of an inch (so rigidity is not compromised). I covered the notch in velcro (for looks) and well, no more rubbing, all is good and the pic below:

Now, I'm super pleased, FWIW!

No. The bar is smack dab even with the tube outlet on the IM.

Do you have any additional spacer (P2R or Outlaw)? I don't have this problem with the stock strut bar. It touches but no rubbing. Also I have Innovative Motor Mounts, so that probably helps as well.

i think that may be the cause, i just tightened the screw that attatches to the rubber piece on the fender and that has stoped the rattle, but i think if it comes back i will try the padding.

should i use my tbs or remove it when i do this mod????

hey so i found out this can work with my 7th generation accord!! however milling down the spacer is needed. I have a question for anyone, how do can i give my hood a hood lift? u know where the back of the hood is lifted up a little. i really don't want to mill down the heads and was hoping that anyone with knowlegde on how to lift the hood can help. thanks.
ps. if i can get this done i am going to do a comparison dyno test between having this on and off.

Hey guys just a lil update....

Since installing this spacer I have installed precat deletes.

I am now about to bolt on a junkyard Intake Manifold and Intake Runners that I had PnP'd.

After talking on the phone with P2R, they said that after much experimentation and dynoing with the J32A3 with/without the RDX/RIDGELINE spacer in a high flow top end setup, it is best NOT to use it any longer because of more than acceptable losses to the top end. How much exactly, I do not know. But this will be getting removed this week from my car.
