for 3.8 Orange disc. Navi Nag hack + trip computer. Just burn the files into a cd and load it up on your TL. It got Top Gear welcome screen and I tested with my 04TL.

I got your file a few weeks earlier. Worked great. I see you got the nag screen working - but i would like the standard acura greeting screen. How hard is it to replace the "top gun" screen? Great work on the 3.8 disc, let me know.

Hi everyone

I'm a new 2006 TL owner - just picked it up this weekend - all I can say it that it's an awesome vehicle - especially with the 6 speed.

I was looking for these patch files (AngryDad's OK button removal and the Trip Computer patch) and the links on vistabug's forums weren't working. I emailed the administrator there and now the links are back up for anyone who is interested. Can't wait to try out the patches!

Does anyone have the files that would eliminate the nag screen and add the trip computer for Navi's on ver 3.30?
It seems like 3.30 is the toughest to come by... I'd appreciate any help on this!!

just download kennyc mod file for navi 3.4 from page one. It work with 3.3G disc with no problem even when it said it's for version 3.4 disc

Thanks to Bibo136 and alot of trial and error, I finally have my Gators startup screen, trip computer and NO OK BUTTON (hated that) working with the 3.80 DVD.
As it turns out, my biggest problem was the media I was using, and possibly the burner.

FWIW: My experience tells me that Memorex DVD+RW, Kypermedia DVD-R and HP Lightscribe CD-R media do not work with my Nav unit. However, a standard HP 52x CD-R worked fine.
So if you are getting a "Please Check Disk" error when trying to load the hacks, try a different brand of media and maybe a different burner.

I tried this with a burned CD and a burned DVD with your 2 files on them and everytime I get to step 8 it just says please check disc. It doesn't do any loading or anything. Then I put my navi disc back in and it loads that up and works just like normal. Any advice?

Assuming you currently have the 3.80 DVD. It maybe that your car, like mine, loads a different file than the one bibo136 posted, OR it could be the media, burner or method that you are using.

Follow these steps to determine which file the navi unit loads:
My unit loads the file BNHH401A.BIN not the BN2HH12C.BIN that bibo136 posted. If this is the case, you will have to extract some files from bibo's BIN file and put them into the BIN file that your unit loads. At least that's what I did. If it turns out that your unit loads the same file that bibo posted, then I would imagine it's the media you are using, the burner or the method of burning. See my post about 6 up from this one (#1008) for my experiences with certain media.

I can't seem to find an option at all for this.

Hey guys, looking for some help please:

Basically I have the 3.40c firmware, and was able to successfully update the background (thanks AcuraZine, KennyC and the Crew) but would also like to get rid of the nag screen. I followed the directions, and end up with a blank screen with the "GO" button replacing the nag text and "Okay" Button.

I've been searching all day and seem to think that I need the nonag-navi.exe file unless im looking for the wrong thing?

Any insight would be greatly appriciated.

okay i feel like a total moron. This should not be a mystery but apparently I am running into a brick wall.

I have the 3.3g DVD and when i go to grab the files off of the DVD, one of them is missing. I have bn2hhmld.bin but there is no 401 file...

Am i missing something. Here is a screenshot of the directory:

I am reading the instructions on the first page but without that file i assume that i am going nowhere... can anyone assist??

well i think i am getting somewhere but not too fast.. i used a file called bn2hh210.bin ( i know the numbers are right.. not 100 percent on the rest) and used the command line dump navi to edit it.

i burned it to a cd and then popped it in - it says it cant read the disk... i tried doing it again with no luck. I may just need to use a different type of cd.. maybe these dont speak well with the navi drive.. they are just tdk cdrs

any other ideas.. .am i on the right track here?

Kudos likewise to Bibo136; I decided 3 years was long enough to wait on the new navi DVD, but had resigned myself to losing AD's OK hack and the trip computer. I downloaded his RAR files, extracted navi.exe and HMIManager.exe from his BN2HH12C.BIN file and updated my BNHH401A.BIN, added my custom Back.bmp file, burned onto a Office Depot DVD_RW 4x with the Brasero disk burner in my Ubuntu distos, and I'm back in business.

Assuming that you have your .bin files correct, I think you should try a different brand of cd, or use a different burner. You're on the right track.

Clarification of my earlier reply:

If you're using the same version that I am (and I think you are) the files that you need are BNHH401A.BIN and BN2HHMLD.BIN.

If you think you have the right BIN files, then try using a different brand of cd, or a different burner.

Yeah, mine loads the same file, but when I try to use his navi.exe on my .bin file, it says it's too big. How did you get past this problem?

you have to use CEBIN to update the BIN files. If you need me to compile into bnhh401a.bin, let me know I can do it for you.

If you don't mind, that would be great. I just tried to use CEBin to update my bnhh401a.bin with the navi.exe that I extracted out of one of your other posts, but the navi system just crashed when it came up (although the Top Gear image did show, so it partially worked).

I have a 2009 Honda Accord with ("White") DVD version 4.73. I have spent hours searching and as far as I can tell, it can't be done yet, but has anyone been able to get rid of the nag screen for version 4.73?

I bought accord 2006 4 cylinders 4d with navigation system from US , I use it now in middle east but I can’t see maps so I bought pc card with 2GB SD memory card to install the new map in it. I want to know which file type my unit can read of if I can put a map from GARMIN, TOMTOM, MAJILAN or others, or if i can hack the original orange dvd disc by removing US map and put middle east map from garmin or others

having some trouble here... I have 3.40C and i tried updating my files...


i turn on my car.
i get to the diagnostic screen.
i eject the navi cd.
i put in my new cd with all the files i just updated.
it says please check navi disc.
i press the 3 required buttons to get back into the navi diagnostics.
i press load disc.

after it gets done pass the progress bar saying its loading the files. the screen just turns blank.. any ideas what i am doing wrong??

I just got an 04 TL on Saturday, but the maps seem like they were never updated, is there any way someone with an updated working custom 04 TL navi disc send me an ISO to burn? Or at the very least let me know what tips they had to doing so, besides different media brands and burners.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks guys

Hi,
I have the 3.5 version and that navi was not able to update the navi.exe from my disk so I used the navi file that Kennyc uploaded here and applied the ok patch from funkymitt and it worked....Am I going to loose anything for not using the navi.exe from my 3.5 disk?

After trying to update my naviagation system my screen went blank and nothing shows up. I've tried holding GUIDE/MAP MENU and CANCEL for five seconds to get to the dianogistic screen but that doesn't work either. Is there any other way to reset my navi. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Hello. I'm from Russia so I hope my english will allow me to explane my problem. I got US Accord 2d. Since 03 Accord's dvd unit has no video inputs, i bought 07 TL dvd with wihte disk 4.55. It has the same connectors that my old dvd. I started to try different codes from 0000. Soon I found it. Thank God it was "0971" so Itried only 971 variants of codes. When navy started, I found out that it loaded TL version of OS. Since I have 7" display I cant see the bottom of the picture. Also it doesn't give a signal to the clock on sub display so it shows wrong time and also I lost my trip comp. That's why I came to this forum))
I installed a Pioneer DVH-P500UB as a Dvd & USB player. I swithed audio in AUX , Video into the Back Camera in on DVD. I sent 12 v to the back light connector and made a knob to activate Back Camera input. I also control Pionner tv-tunner GX5700 thru DVD player's IP-BUS. So i have now dvd and USB and TV but I'd like to load accord's drivers into the dvd unit.

As far as I know there'is just one genreal DVD for all honda & acura dvd units. There is no a special disk for accord or TL. When I put the disk into the unit it loads drivers for tl. How does it know that dvd is out of TL. I think it get messages from hardware flash memory that is oriented on TL load files. So does any body know how to change it? May be I should take a rom dump from 06-07 accord and dump it down to the tl unit?

If you didn't anderstood what you just read let me know, i'll try to explane in another words))
