Actually you can play DVD-Videos, after some modification. Check out this resourceful thread https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-audio-bluetooth-electronics-navigation-94/3g-tl-audio-electronics-faq-605299/ (post #4, fourth question down to answer your question). And next time try searching before posting an off topic question.

these links will be good for one week from today so enjoy and hope this helps some people out...the bn2 files are pre-hacked with blue splash screen, no nag screen or OK button. might be easier to hack these (add your own image) than start from scratch if you're impatient.

i think i had the 3.30f version. i had to rename that bn2hh12c to that. it was originally bn2h401 or whatever it is. i just renamed it and it worked fine. the dumpnavi and hmi manager i just got a while back and knew they were hard to find so i added them in case people needed em for diff versions.

is it possible to make the welcome screen stay on the screen longer so you can actually use it as a wallpaper when you don`t use the navi ? I tried to read all the threads related to this and couldn`t find an answer.
I have Acura '05 navi

Removing the nag screen for version 4.73 or 4.81
I have a 2009 Honda Accord with ("White") DVD version 4.73. I have spent hours searching and as far as I can tell, it hasn't be done yet, but has anyone been able to get rid of the nag screen for version 4.73 or 4.81 (white disc)? I hate having to press "OK" to get to see the map every time you start the car.

Does anyone know what processor type is used in the '07 nav unit? I have read that it is made by Alpine but have not seen any indication of what processor type that the code is compiled for. Have seen a post that Alpine has confused the issue by manipulating the code to look like it is for a different processor type.

Maybe I posted it couple of years ago, but here it is- if you want ready for burning files for 2005 TL, I have them here http://www.XPEHOBO.com/acura/2005navi.zip
Included custom start up image (not anything outrageous), OK bypass, A/C controls and trip computer.

Thanks gt1! I was able to use your file and make all the modifications at once. I updated the Back.bmp though to display my own startup screen. Now, I would like to get the warning text back to the original text and remove the AD initials. However, I am not versed in hex editors, etc. The instructions I've seen have been very hard for me to comprehend. Does anyone have simple instructions on how to do this, including links to any software that I will need to download and how to use it?
Thanks.
Thanks.
In short, no---there are no "simple" instructions for this.
#1141
Well, maybe "simple" isn't the right word. Perhaps I should have said "clear" instructions. For example, when I read "get a clean navi.exe file" would a more clear instruction be, "extract the navi.exe file from your loading .BIN file on the OEM navigation dvd? Is that what is meant?
I don't think the other hacks were "simple" either, they were just better explained. So, can someone better explain the instructions to remove the AD and put back the original warning text? Thanks.

I don't know if anyone really checks this thread much anymore, but I've been trying for a couple days to pull off the OK Nag removal, but I only have access to a PC at work. I'm all Mac at home. I've run into several problems and simply can't keep spending time screwing around with this at work. Does anyone have a modified BNHH401A.BIN file for 3.50 orange disc with the nag removed they could send me? Or better yet, a full disc that works? I could send you a self addressed stamped envelope to get it back to me. If you only have the file, I have a dropbox that you could upload it to. Please pm me if you can help. I really only care about the OK button. Not worried about the splash screen, trip computer, or a/c controls.
I'm in so-cal also if anyone has a disc.
Thanks!!

I think people do check this thread, but as far as I know the OK nag hasn't been successfully hacked for the newer cars. I have a Honda Fit 2009 with the turquoise disc and the last I heard, there's numerous anti-hack checks that one must work around to successfully remove the OK nag in the more recent versions of the navi software.
#1145
Well maybe someone can just help me with the problem I'm having. I got hacked bin files from gt1's link. I load everything and it seems to be going great, I load the new bin file, i see the new splash screen, get the disc read error and switch the disc.
Then the new splash screen appears, the AD branded loading screen comes up, but then the screen flashes and the nav automatically loads the old bin file back in, and undoes what i've done.
Has anyone had this problem? Please help!

i tried doing all of this but i guess im not that computer illiterate. i just dont want to f**k up my navi swap that i already completed. Is there any easier ways or walk-throughs on how to put the nav hack on a new disc?

#1153
This may be completely off topic, but how in the world do you UNHACK?! I have a 06 with Navi and the disc it came with was a 3.30F and the startup screen has the "H" for Honda and the clock does not change when you change it in the setup screens. I don't care about the trip computer, or the OK button, or anything. I just want it completely back to factory. I've done the CD Boot from a 3.50 disc from my friend's Acura... I just want it to be right.. Any help would be appreicated.

A few have asked if anyone has hacked the orange 3.9 Navi disk. I can't take any credit for the actual hacks but have been able to implement them using my 3.9 disk in my '06 TL.
Here's my advice:
Here's my advice:
- Spend the time to read and understand this tread. All the tools and basic info are here. You just need to take the time to play with them (and throw away a few CDs)
- Search this thread for "3.8". The final pieces for me were taking two files (Navi.exe and HMIManager.exe) from 3.8 hacks found in this thread and adding them to my modified 3.9 boot disk.
- My desired splash screen
- The nagging OK button removed
- The added utilities (trip computer and A/C controls). I don't really care about the A/C controls but love the trip computer.
- All using my 3.9 maps disk

^^Good job and great advice, Dave!
It is a lot of information to sift through, but the bottom line is the hack can be done to ALL Orange Navi disk systems. Everything you need is in this thread somewhere.

Just bought a TL and plan on reading through all of this tomorrow but the question I have is my TL is a 2006 so I'm sure the maps are outdated it looks like 3.9 is the newest maps disk correct? Can this disk be burned or updated for free? If not how much is it?
