I know I am going to get roasted for this, but I did a search and did not see anything. I have disk 3.30, and I moved the BIN files to my hard drive (I only had six of them) and there is no BNHH401A.BIN file. What do I need to do??

Any help will be appreciated.

 

I was able to modify the files, etc. Burned them to a cd as instructed.
After I hit the Load Disc button, the screen changes black and I get a green window with white text,
Please Check Disc.

I've tried 7 different cd-r and cd-rws, even a DVD-R.
What am I doing wrong? Any thoughts?

BN2HH12C.BIN is the name of the file you modify on the navi disk version 3.30, BN2HHMLD.BIN is the other file you should have copied. You can use dumpnavi to change the splash screen but not to add any of the hacks, to do the hacks you need to use CEbin. hope this helps

OK, I followed all instructions laid out earlier in this thread (thanks Bearcat94) - absolutely no error messages when at the cmd prompt. Extracted the new opening1.bmp from the bin file and it was the new image.
Went to load the new files, (used a CD-R) again no problems - screen showed the files being uploaded - but when it finished, I still had the old splash screen.

So, any suggestions? Maybe I'm getting too old for technology...

 

Just wanted to say thanks for putting together such a great guide to modifying the Navi. Works great! Keep up the great work guys.

 

I always wonder if it is possible to have a program for the tpms and backup sensor program into our navi display via the load function into our dvd navigation drive. so they can all share the same screen like the extra calculator, trip computer, etc... I won't mind writing a little code.... just need some direction. thanx

I've gotten the Back.bmp and the Trip Hack working but I can not get the OK hack.... I keep getting this error when I try to dump the navi.exe back to the bin:

Try using Kenny's Navi.zip, It should work after using it.

What are you having problems with...i assume you have 3.30g, have you been able to get the trip computer hack?, i have tried getting the OK button/trip computer hack but keep getting a warning saying " some records have been resized. Address will be recalculated", im doin this on CEBin..you got any suggestions?

 

I got a 3.3 ..and have successfully gotten all 3 mods.. use the post on page 2 of this thread..i used Cebin..and it was really easy.. everything loaded just fine and only after my 1st try!! I was hesistant on doing it because of such an old version for nav..havnt tried out the trip computer gonna mess with it later...

 

Nope, not yet. I have been unsuccessful at doing so. I PM'ed someone who said they got it working and was waiting on a response, but he hasn't yet. I will try the last suggestion here.

i got the same warning sign in dos..and right under it ..it said "done." So i just renamed the edited bin to the original file name .bin..burnt it with the MDL.bin and it worked.

 

hmmm...when I loaded mine I just got a blank screen...im gonna try it again though...thanks for the info.

 

what version..and what program do you have..if you have 3.30 and are using Cebin..i could post a step-by-step for you that i used ..Im no expert at this stuff but i'll tell you what i did and hopefully you'll have similar success

I have a 06 Honda Odyssey with ver 4.31 navi disc. My problem is that I get "Please check your disc" error. I tried burning on to dvd-r, dvd+r, dvd-dl, cd-r, cd-rw, different brands of discs. I've used nero on pc and toast on mac with udf and iso options. All resulted in "Please check your disc". Then I tried to install from the original disc and the result was "Please check your disc". I've read on earlier posts that some people got the same error but they modded the wrong bin file. I believe I did mod the right bin file because I extracted all the bin files on the original disc and checked out all the bmp files to find out the splash file the navi used. If anyone have any other ideas, I would greatly appreciated.

 

yea man, i'd appreciate that...im using version 3.30g w/ CEBin...i think i know what i did wrong but everything helps, it would probably help some other members on the forum also.

 

Does anyone have the "BNHH401A.BIN" file thats already extracted/updated with angry dad's trip mod available for download? For some reason when i go to extract both my background modded BNHH401 file and the original one from the Orange DVD i keep getting a message that says "Unable to Open BIN FILE" in cmd prompt, Thanks

Do you need any specific model nav system to do the wallpaper hack?

I just bought an '05 TL with Nav system. I would love to put a new wallpaper up.

Also what is the Trip hack? Can someone explain?

 

hey you dont need any specific model for the wallpaper

The trip hack is like what you have on your MID. Its alllows it to be on your nav screen like this.

Yea I have one Maybe I can download it somewhere. But you have to redo the pic if u want another one.

 

The pic is no problem to do becuase the dump navi to do the wallpaper change works fine, but its just the trip mod thanks!

 

Can I pay one of you guys to make a disc for me with the navihack info, my new picture and AD's Trip computer mod? I can provide you with the Navi files off the nav disc as I was able to find them.
