It's a good feeling once you sweat it off though, just not when you're in the gym choking on your secretions.

Think about that and then go reread my obituary for Maj.

and if that fails, consider the *other* other definition.

I did cucumber it, but it didn't seem stupid enough for the current conversation.

Forgot my pre-workout protein shake at home. My gainz!

However, it's often a coinflip on days like this because shortly after, I'm usually over-run with a cold/flu bug and bed-ridden. So, if that happens, not going to the gym...I have a fever for a reason a reason...body is telling me to rest up.

Yes, I know what you mean...if I'm just feeling sluggish or run-over, a work-out always gets me feeling significantly better afterwards.

I don't always do that, but if it's an opportune time, why not?

I use to take a lot of pre-work out like C4 but I stopped all together. I now take Hydroxycut hardcore next gen (2 pills) 10 mins before working out. Gives me the focus and energy I need. I felt super jittery with Pre-workout.
Registered Bunny
Commercial pre-workouts are nothing but a load of caffeine as the active ingredient. I used to drink too many energy drinks a day back in the day (think ~1g of caffeine a day) and that was not really good for the body I believe.

To be honest with you, I stopped taking almost everything I used to take. I would take 2 1/2 scoops of C4, followed by Oxi-elite pro followed by 2 scoops of Amino-X (while working out) finished with platinum pro ON protein about 2 scoops made with water. My body needed a good cycle off. I tried to take it again, but it made me super sick.

I'm now only on whey & dextrine (carbs) for my shakes and fish oil for omega 3. No other supplements.

Well sorry to hear that, I look like a dick now.
But really, it's one of those WTF moments.
A friend of my elementary school music teacher died in a very strange way. He got struck by lightning while on a small sand island in the middle of a river, apparently it was very gruesome for the other friend that was with him when that happened...

Any of you gym bros use L-Taurine?
I've got a bunch of it that I bought for reasons, but I don't need it anymore. Is there any legitimate use for it that someone might be interested in or should I just dump it?

Vasodilation. Mixed with caffeine you're a beast. Apparently good for the pumper too. No wonder they put that shit in energy drinks.

Microcenter no longer builds pc's with customer supplied parts. I just called a local pc shop that has out standing reviews. We went over what I have and got to the hard drive part. He said "nnnn no no no no no nooo.. You must use SSD!" went back on newegg and cancelled my order and got what he request. Worked out to be cheaper by 28 bucks

I use to be really "into" this and know all about the latest and greatest. That was also 6 years ago on my last build. When I did this build, google, wiskey and newegg were my new friend. I'd love to build it myself but I have a feeling something will blow up..
Anyway, here is my build if anyone is interested.

The case is a full tower. It's exactly the same size as my current older Alienware Area-51. To be honest with you, they are the same bare bone case. The newer case has the fancy plastic skins that bolt on the existing aluminum panels. If the cooler is too big for the case, I do have a back up one which is Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO. Either way, If i need another cpu cooler the shop will provide it.
Confusing Name Guy
Definitely go with AT LEAST 120mm case fans. 140 mm is usually the better bet as they push more air at a lower RPM and are generally quieter. With a 5930k I would invest in an all-in-one CPU cooler, such as an NZXT Kraken or if you want tried and true, Corsair H80i. Will be well worth it in the long run. The CM coolers are good for middle of the line stuff, but I wouldn't use them on an X99 based machine.

Regarding CPU cooling, I've successfully overclocked many beefy CPUs on "simple" air cooling. The CM V8 GTS is beefy enough but it definitely comes with a luxury price tag. Similar design coolers can be had for somewhat cheaper. It's all about having a proper case airflow to compliment the CPU cooler. Cooler case temp = cooler CPU. For the best results, you want slightly negative pressure although it comes with the price of attracting dust.
If you want to dive in with an all-in-one watercooling solution for your CPU I suggest going all out otherwise you're going to get top tier air cooling temperature. The Coolermaster Seidon 240m is cheap and efficient, hangs with the big boys at not even 3/4th of the price. $90 over at newegg.
