Seriously though, there's a guy here, Juan from Peru. Every lunch break we try to insult each other as bad as possible as an exercise to find the most offending terms we can. It's so incorrect for work but we don't care.
Let me tell you that making a combo of ethnicity + religion + sexual orientation + gender + mental capacity makes up for some great insults.

Same here, but otherwise that's the kind of 4G I wouldn't mind having, and that says a lot considering I think the 4G TL I think is one of Acura uglier car (even more so pre-2012).

let's be honest- given enough money, ANY car can look fantastic. That 4G is no different.
I myself would prefer that stock looking RL in the background

VERY nice condition paint though. It looks fantastic.
Let me rephrase that- that 4G does look good, but in general, the 4Gs look like vomit. That RL would look so gangster if the same amount of money was put into it

I dont understand why you guys thing an absurd amount of money went into that TL?
It's an OEM kit, painted black trim/grill, coilovers/bags, wheels, aftermarket exhaust, and custom lights.
All in all that look can be had for less than 6k I am sure. The most expensive part being the OEM kit. He just knew where to put his money or it may have taken some guessing and checking. Sure there may be a lot more work and money. But cosmetically, that final product isnt going to set you back every far. If you got the OEM kit from the start then you can get that look with only 3-4k.

I think the guy spent no less than 25K to make the 4G look good. Pretty sure that's a minimum.
PB, you know it, player. Totally worth it though!

Gonna take my Mom kayaking for a little bit, then probably swap out the rear tire on my mountain bike (it blew), and swap the shifter cables on my buddy's bike. Have some beers at 4pm at a friend's bbq, then back to our neighborhood for fireworks!

Good plan Jeremy. About to do the pressure switches and tranny filter on the car here. Finally a nice day!

Nilly!! You alive!!
I hope your epiphany includes buying a faster car to begin with
But for reals, what's your plan now?

Rumors of my demise are greatly exaggerated.
Not dead, just super busy with work. Faster car epiphany is yes. Aw well. Still going to make fast happen. Epiphany was more like "can't really go fast that often, going to go low instead". I blame all those H2O and Import Alliance videos for that one.
As per Jeremy's incessant heckling, "legit" wheels are on the menu right now, and I'm considering if I'm going to go with a bag over coil setup or static with air cups. The latter is definitely intriguing, but kind of limited.

But really, safety first. Wheel chocks, jack stands, a 3 ton jack is what I used today and all I needed was to jack the front to remove the driver side front wheel.
Transmission maintenance went decent, took longer than expected and I have no real idea why.
1 part was moving the silly 3rd gear pressure switch shroud out of the way, other part was the stupid location of the transmission filter. The inlet line bolt is clipped by a plastic clip to a small metal line (no idea where it goes) and that thing was slightly rusty so last thing I needed was to break it but the clip wouldn't let go. Ended up breaking the clip instead.
I realize after doing the job you can most likely re-use the spring, re-use the gasket, re-use the o-ring and re-use both washers. None of them looked terrible.
I've lost around half a cup of ATF which I did not expect so I had to clean the mess with brake cleaner and shop towels forever then do a small refill.
So I'm not sure if you have done this yet n1h1l1l1t1ty but if you haven't it's not very difficult simply slightly time consuming.

Some 4th of July shit for you guys

All just time consuming and I'm working two gigs at the moment so I try to not spend my limited free time hunting down o-rings.
