Exactly. I'm not taking a week off work to babysit.

Hmmm...on principle...contact city...get reimbursed of get quote...or get shot down...or wait forever for a response...

Or just be grateful they have bulk that doesn't require bagging and that they took an entire dead tree away for me and spend the $8 for 4 pieces of sod and fix myself (well, I also tried using pieces that flew off trucks I found on the highway that were too dead to take... TWICE I made my trunk filthy with dead grass and dirt to save $8 ).

That's my approach, at least.
Yes, but we're not talking about $8 here. The fence alone was $700 worth of material. My lot cost, without the house on it, was well over 100k, so losing 10 inches of it isn't exactly pocket change either.

That contractor came to my house to argue with me and admitted that he builds quantity over quality

Anyway, I'm getting a survey done next week and judging by the survey report, I'll tell the neighbor to move his shit asap or I'm taking him to civil court. He can deal with his shitty contractor afterwards. And yes, civil court is my only option, as the city nor the police will get involved in this dispute, as I found out this morning.

Problem solved!

It's my lunch hour. Been working out through lunch pretty much since I've started working back in 2000...kinda my "break".

And usually, my lunch hours are flex enough that I can usually be in done everything 75 minutes. I also forgo any coffee breaks during the day...so, it works out...and sort of a thing I tell any of my hiring managers that I require if I am to work at any organization: I must have my lunch hour for working out. No exceptions.

Well...either way...it's your life and your money, I'm sure you're only taking this approach because you have to. Good luck with the awkward passive aggressive bs after the civil suit though...

Thanks, sir. Definitely not as street-tough as say, Maj, who gets practical strength training via sparring and ...but, it does keep my healthy and looking decent physically.

Getting to that age where I know more and more people affected with health issues and well, I'm just trying to maintain and hopefully it can extend my life a bit...

But man...not a week goes by where I do not hear about a friend or acquaintance who has a parent/uncle/relative/etc. diagnosed with cancer or recovering from a stroke...it's crazy.

At my two prior jobs...yeah. Onsite for the employees.

At this one, nope...it's about 3 block walk...not great during the dog days of winter when it's -30 below...but, builds character apparently.

Awesome!

Yeah, hotel gyms don't have diddly squat so it definitely makes it not as fun to go and work out.. Traveling clear across country every week also wreaks havoc on sleep/energy levels so by the time I'm done with work, I sort of just have enough energy to eat dinner and climb into bed... Also eating out every day every meal sounds great but definitely packs on the pounds.

Definitely gotta get the motivation up to go gym more often though, I'm still 'young' but if you don't set up good habits sooner, it'll only get harder.

also holy shit.. 3 blocks in winter.. okay if you can do that, i think i can walk down the hall and down the one flight of stairs to the hotel gym and suck it up...

I like jogging in new locations...then make it interesting by looking for cool places to improvise and do pullups and dips...usually staircases or fences...

i'm really such a badazz with the perfect body. 1% body fat and 99% muscle and peen.

I saw a follow up to that guy's clip with a disdik or something and there's a guy guiding and reminding him to say "GOT EMMMM"...

Almost had me feeling sorry for him being exploited...then I remembered how little he probably mattered before. Pockets on swole now, even stick out more than his belly. Mike who?

And it's 3 blocks against the wind uphill with no shoes!

Cmon man, you can get a good workout even in a hotel room. Jumping jacks, pushups (incline/decline using bed), crunches, reverse crunches, knee highs, burpees, dips (using bed/chair), squats, lunges, inverted rows (using desk), you name it. If you need to add some weight for the pushups, squats, dips or lunges you can use your luggage.

I agree with you though the motivation can be difficult. But you can become the asian Arnie!
