Sooooo, I ventured out of the 2G TSX side of the site recently because of um, "that guy" over on the RLX area. I really got a chuckle of some of the folks there. And not necessarily a funny chuckle, mostly it was a "how'd they fit such a large stick up their ass and does it come standard or is it an option when you buy a RLX" chuckle.

But that made me curious about what else was out here. ILX: yup, what I expected. Most everyone else: yep, that's Acura for ya.

But you guys. You 3G TL guys. I've read back through here a ways and you all are a bunch of offensive, miscreant, foul mouthed degenerates. And I don't even know what to say about your tossed salad obsession.

It's just, I don't know, it's just so what's the word... Pleasant, here. I like you guys!

Anyway, keep it up you beautiful bastids!

p.s. Is this where I ask you to toss *my* salad?

Maj, did my oil change yesterday. Drain bolt was definitely overtorqued but not terribly so... Filter was fine. Anyway, that's done.

Cv joints boots are in pristine condition. No leak or anything. I expected them to look worn but they're still very supple, which makes me wonder if the previous owner got them replaced not too long ago, and thus I wonder why my driver side outside cv is failing. *scratch head*

No torn boot and your CV is failing? That's odd...unless you live your life one quarter mile at a time.

Exactly what I'm thinking. I mean, it's not impossible, but I genuinely expected the boot to have a tear. Nope, very squishy rubber boot. Looks almost new. It clicks exactly like the cv joint though. I need someone to drive so I can listen carefully. :P

check the cotter pin on the lower control arm...if bent incorrectly it can make contact with the dust shield when making a turn.

Working today. 18 days until my 9 day vacation. I have nothing planned though. Thinking I'll just take it easy and see what happens. My son will be turning 10 on June 20th, so I'll definitely do something with he and my daughter. She"ll be 13 in July. They grow up way too fast!
:end ramble:
Back to work now.. I'll shall return in a bit.

Are you hearing clicks after the car is warmed up? Beating grease isn't rated for cold temps, and as it breaks down, that spec could get worst. If yes, your cv joint is more than likely on its way out. If no, repack with fresh grease.

Yes! Early it was indeed. Just before I turned 22, my daughter, Riley was born. Just before 25, my son, Reece was born. They weren't exactly planned, but it happened just the same. Unfortunately(for the kids sake), me and their mom got divorced 4 years ago. It was for the best. We met when we were 17, got married at 21 , called it quits at 30. They kids live with her about an hour away, which isn't too bad. I pay $932 a mth. in child support and can see them pretty much anytime.

So, I saw a blue/green CL the other day(not sure what year), for $500. AT transmission is shot. Not sure how the motor(154K) is looking because I didn't get that far into it. I just looked at it. Body and paint are fantastic. Seats look great as well with no tears. Needs new tires and probably a brake job, all fluids changed out. Seems like a good beater to have around. I've had the TL for a year now and put 20K on her. At 87,500 now.

I think my next car addition will be a sweet swb truck. Not sure what yet. Project truck, maybe spend 5-10k on it and put another 5k into it.

Hm haven't checked, worth rolling around in dust to check that.

It's not a typical bearing noise, it's def a clicking noise. Clicks faster depending on speed and so far it's only while turning completely right. Even if I go super slow it clicks.

Clicks no matter the temperature or how long I've been driving it. I wish it was something stupid but it's very unlikely.

No extended cab. Blacked out C-10 low rider.
pb, it could be the dust cover like J said. That happened on my Accord once. Did the noise start after you did the brakes?

Oh I just realized you mean the brake dust cover

It wasn't bent or anything so I don't see why that would happen... but also worth checking. Thanks for the suggestion guys.

cut the wheel the way it needs to be when you hear the noise, then reach under and check the cotter pin...it was that simple for me...obviously, long shot...

Franch...I was the dummy that said bust it on the beat, ho.

I'll need someone to hold the wheel on the extreme right for me though, as it returns slightly when you let go of it, just enough for me not to hear the noise. I need a GF
