Good evening fellas.
@ trading ANY Honda for Ford. I bet if it was a Mustang, J would consider the deal though.

I had the TL at the time and it wasn't even close to par. Thought it couldn't get better driving wise so didn't think about it a second more. They dropped the ball on that one. I wonder if the new gen is nicer. It looks nice.
Tried a second gen Mazda 6 V6 back in 2009 and it was an enjoyable car, felt sporty and much better than a sonata V6 which felt like a boat. Very bumpy ride though which is what Mazda was going for at the time I believe, "feeling the road".

The interior is very plastic however and left the same feeling the 350Z left me with regarding this. They went balls out for the exterior but forgot the interior. The base package radio was also terrible in looks too... much worse than the TL radio for instance, although the sound quality was similar. Still for a 2009 vehicle, 5 years younger than a 3rd gen TL, you'd expect better. The dash was also gaudy, every gauge red or blue, but too much of it. The TL has balance in the colors.

But hey, ultimately, we're talking Mazda and I believe it was never meant to be a luxury brand (obviously) nor did they even felt like dabbing in those waters it seems.

The third generation has good looks but they cut the V6 option so now you're stuck with a 2.5L that develops ~180hp for a 3200lbs car. It isn't exactly exciting to think about...

Just saw Mad Max.. freaking outstanding, better than the original (obv way different but still). George Miller's best work, and that's saying a lot, yes.. better than Happy Feet. It started out in chaos, leveled out and then crescendo! Bravo! What a fucking movie, awesome!

I would think that saying it's better than the original would be blasphemous! But I'm willing to give it a go!

Tired of all this rain, but I'm doing pretty good. I can't complain. Counting down the days to my 9 day vacation June 19-27. Haven't really made any plans yet. Anything but work sounds good to me though!

I would agree...I have frustrations at work, like anyone else. But overall...I actually don't mind coming in...yesterday, saw two cool tree frogs hiding behind a backing plate...saw a train go by from a ladder...and drove through a bamboo nursery.

Not sure if they offered these up north but I think they learned their "luxury" lesson with the Millenia and 929

safely tucked in the garage.
brother has a truck and mom has the cuv/kia, so we're all good on that front.

water line reaches our garage door but doesnt come up any higher than that.

the scary part is getting trapped if you're out and about.
water current that's moving more than 5mph will pick up vehicles.
ive been staying in as much as i can, im just worried about others who "dont think and think they can brave the currents"

getting killed because you thought you had to be out is one of the worst ways to go.

Meh I wasn't impressed. Maybe I was easier to impress back then and seeing the movies as a kid, but I felt like Mad Max 4 wasn't "mad" or insane it was just senseless. The 3D in the movie was an after thought it seems too. I'm still happy I went to see it, but to me the old ones are on a much higher ground.

We had the Millenia which sold ok and the 929 in the 90ies and I guess to prove your point this one didn't sell at all.

Still waiting on Amanti.

Wow...it really is serious.
I always think you could just swim to safety, but I guess if everything is flooded, there's a current, you're fatigued...or worse, trapped in your car...that would be a terrible way to go!

Yeah really...state of emergency? How long for the city to naturally drain??? I guess we're lucky in Florida since most flooded areas can run off into the ocean or canals.

Weren't you in your father's nutsack when the last Mad Max came out? Fury Road is leaps above Thunderdome, Road Warrior and the original. It shared some crazy elements, but it was on so many levels above, I can't even fucking phantom how you could remotely think any of the previous movies could compare.

and to call Fury Road senseless.. you're one stupid bunny alright. This was the only movie in the series that made any sense other than Road Warrior.. and senselessness and chaos is what it's all about.. they're all snippets of a post-apocalyptic world centered around Max.

FFS.. what the fuck is this guy talking about..
Background.. this weird fucking guy chimed in on that RLX thread that got closed about how his first car was a corvette when he was 23 or some shit, then got the NSX when he was 24. Idk.. it was some MoneyMan Altegris shit.. then he posts the thread above to prove himself. I didn't really call him out, but if he has an NSX, I'm going to want to see it..

anyways.. read on.. then read post #14

I don't believe I was at that stage yet, not that it means anything.

I fail to see how Fury Road was comparable. It was entirely about Imperator Furiosa and Mad Max was completely put aside.
For a 4th movie that came out 30 years after the last one, it was made in a way that if you didn't see the past ones his 1 second "flashbacks" seemed completely unrelated. Good job George Miller.

Actors were good and the characters were portrayed well enough. I liked seeing the same guy who did Toecutter in the movie, I think it was a nice touch for the followers.

Either way, Fury Road was used as a setup for the next one. Money $_$
