Nostalgia...
I'll take a new version of it...
For the most part though, I like 10 year old and older vehicles. Too many new gizmos and tryna drive for me...give me the wheel, johnny5...

Gah I'm still kinda pissed at the clicking noise on my left wheel. I have to inspect this better, but I soooo don't want to do the job. Every freaking weekend lately I spend doing something on the car.

and you know this because...you have driven a ton of the those cars?
or because you were conceived in the backseat of one?!?
Try driving one of the cars you're sentimental about and get back to me. In theory, I agree...sexy lines...but I only really love the restomodded ones...new tech, old body.
I never forget, driving my neighbor's 1999 civic...thinking, oh man...I miss my 1991...HA...drove it and was like GET ME THE FUCK BACK INTO MY TL!

Restomodded is great as you said. New tech, old body. I could definitely enjoy a restomod Corvette 67-69...

How you doin?
Didn't we all..
Yep, check the boots first, check for tears and strewn bearing grease. Replacing boots / driveshafts is easy business.

Poor Bob. Justn, you should apologize for sending me there.

On an unrelated note, Ex Machina is a great movie. I recommend to anyone who's into sci-fi/robots. It's... something.

No way.. it's a piece of cake. Just buy extra nuts and bolts. The axle nut will be your only challenge. If you're a skinny twig.. get a killer impact gun or find some fat buddies to jump on the breaker bar. Plus side, you get a drain and fill in there.

Also, when you get to the axle nut, you don't need to lift the car - remove wheel - pop center cap - put wheel back - drop it back down. The center cap will shimmy out with a little pressure while on the hub. Loosen the lugs, remove center cap, and have your way with her. Try not to strip the axle nut.

Alright. I'm gonna have to tackle it at some point. Not urgent per se, only noticed it started clicking when locked completely to the right, but it would be stupid to drag it for too long. Might do it with my uncle if he ever recovers from his shoulder injury.
Yeah the drain and fill is kind of lame. I'm at 2 out of "3" and I was planning on doing switches plus 3rd drain and fill. Guess I'll end up doing a 4th in the future, sooner than I would have thought. Don't really have the funds for the driveshafts right now.

You get your refund for the collars, Dennis?
Registered Bunny
Yeah I'm thinking of either asking my uncle for help or doing it in one of those rent-a-lift place. They're like $6.50/hr for the floor and like $6 added for the lift. They also rent an impact for like $2/hr. Hmmm

Found this thread and the post by 94eg! has pretty much convinced this is a much easier than it looks in the service manual. Now I just need to find cheap parts.

Got a wedding to attend on Saturday which is nearly an all-day affair...so, the Friday gets back the 1 day we sorta lose...
Hopefully the large crowd and noisy restaurant that accompanies these weddings is not going to make Little Cha too unhappy...
