Going to throw some wings on the grill and then toss them in Chili-Lime Frank's hot sauce...toss some vegetables a la balsamic vinegar dressing and grab some beers in time for the Lightning/Hawks game.

I also like the city they're in, in BH6. A hybrid of two others (although I don't remember which!)

How goes it, J?

Instead of reading the WSJ or other finance industry related stuff, I'm reading about the GT-R scam linked from Ramblings. Crazy stuff

Meh, just another scammer. They play with bigger money but the idea is the same. Guys are running $100K cars getting scammed for $15K is like guys with $25K cars getting scammed for $4K. Always suck.

G'morning ramblers!

Yeah that scam's was very -worthy.. Almost needed 2 buckets worth!

:pb: scams scaled up logically like that almost diminishes their effect on others! Look at the banks/ mortgage crisis in US a few years back.. Billion dollar banks/companies screwing people with $200-500K mortgages they couldn't afford.. Same thing right

The underlying issue was they couldn't afford it at the start.
I mean, I'm not on the scammer side, it sucks, but let's not get all winded up because of the $15K numbers thrown around by GT-R owners. A scam is a scam. If I got scammed for $4K I'd be as pissed as those guys but it wouldn't be a life changing situation. If you can afford putting $4K in a car, ya ain't eating ramen noodles in a cardboard box under the bridge.

Believe me, here too. We take pictures of mansions with a Mercedes parked upfront a huge pool in the back, spa, everything. Get inside... no furniture in the living room, empty bedrooms with just a mattress on the ground, holes in walls... wtf man

Street parking I'd chicken out. Fuck I mean I park carefully and people still scratch my car. Passenger side has plenty of scuffs. Dicks.

Toolbags live everywhere, not just LA.. live in a $600 apartment, drive $200k car. Butt as they say.. fake it until you make it. In some respects, I think this is true. There is always a ceiling though. That's when you read about a $10M mansion going up in smoke with $1M cars in the garage.. oh insurance fraud.

I think "fake it til you make it" makes it sound worse than it actually is. I agree sometimes you have to push through and make it seem like you're bigger than you actually are depending on your line of work. But as you said, $10M mansion with $1M of cars in the garage? yeahhh...

Back bumper looks like shit from all the bad parallel parking jobs. Next time I see it, I'll try and snag a pic

They should've diversified their bonds. Then they wouldn't have to go that route.
