I used to work at a car dealership and you'd be amazed at the lack of common sense and competence car buyers come in with. Why would you not read/question any document you put your signature on?

Cause they feel like they need to hurry up since the salesman is sitting right in front of them and waiting. It's easy to make people uncomfortable.
