Highly recommended.

Acoustech is to get the lady parts wet.. BIC to get the DIC.

Honestly flippy, the whole polk line that always goes on sale on slickdeals/newegg is pretty decent for buying a la carte. I got some front towers for about $100 each.
Yep, PSWs.

Don't forget the ever so important Center Speaker!!

I got this one from my old roommate and wow it's great: Intimus 5C Center Channel Speaker - Aperion Audio

Aperion is lesser known too but I love their center, I wouldn't mind buying the rest of the matching set.

RLX == Serious.

Why can't you plebeians realize that?

We should thank the gods to be allowed to breath the same air as a RLX "caretaker".

I have a variety of interests

Serato > Traktor by a mile. Highly recommend any of the Pioneer DDJ's except the SB. DDJ-SX can be had for cheap now that the SZ and SX-2. Might be a bit much for the beginner so the SR is always a good choice too.

Never tried Serato (don't know it even) but I've used Traktor with a deck before.
Traktor has it's place but I prefer Serato

As it was established in Car Talk, the RLX (with upgraded wheels) is the Ron A of cars.

Not even the Poopdick McRartington, McLaren P1 or F1, or Koenignignignignignignigsegg Agera R or One:1 can touch the RLX. Nothing. It's like as if when Ron A decided there be a car...he envisioned the RLX.

Nope, I meant Premier Acoustic. Google it up.

They claim their 12" sub puts out 650w peak power, as opposed to the BIC F12 475w. I know peak power isn't everything, but I'm telling you, the Premier Acoustic hammers hard. The bass sounds crisp and clear and it can hammer your chest.

Right now the BIC is going for $275. The Premier Acoustic is going for $300. It's simply fantastic.

A sub from a company I've never heard of, that has a website out of the late 90s. Did you sign up to Frantz's Kubus group?

Don't get me started on peak power ratings. That's all bullshit. The RMS is rated higher, but we're talking about home theater. The F12s have 90 db sensitivity... bruh. The first time I tried out the BICs, I felt my fucking lungs and heart swelling without hearing shit. They push pretty freaking deep and living room is completely open to our huge ass kitchen and adjacent formal dining area (~1200 sq ft).

I'm not saying they're HSU/SVS/Sunfire/Earthquake air evacuating subs, but you get way more bang for your buck. Plus the BICs have a 5 year all inclusive, parts and labor warranty. Those PAs only warranty the woofer for 5 years, 2 years on the amp. That's weak sauce. Furthermore, the BICs are $212 right now, but they go down to $180ish. That's almost half the price of the PAs.

Find me a good review on AVS or YT of the PAs.. maybe a few. Go look up the BICs.. tried and tested, hundreds of reviews. I have freaking pictures on the wall 20 ft from the sub that have fallen off because the sub vibrated the finishing nail out. I had to nail in the diagnal 3-nail prong hangers. Bzzzzzz!!! I don't even pump up the jams on it.. 99% HT duty. 1% wake the dead duty.. LOL.. duty.

I'm not even going to attempt to be say I know much about speakers...but, when I was in Japan a couple years ago with the First Lady, we had happened upon Pioneer's showroom in Ginza and they had a demo room where they had their flagship $$$$$ speakers set up...

The man there was very nice to demo the sound...In a word: astounding...it was one of the most memorable experiences of music I've ever had...I think the price for each speaker was $30K.

So, naturally, I texted BoostedJack and Altegris if they had these all over their mansions.

The site is ghetto forsure, lol. Especially since they seem to only sell their shit on fleabay

Doing some more reading into it, you're right, that F12 is pretty damn good- I never even heard of it until today, otherwise I likely would have bought it back in the day. The PA120 and the F12 are rated super close together in every category on this site (8.75/10 vs 8.45/10). It seems the Acoustech is the overall winner, but it's double the price.

The Best Home Subwoofers of 2015 | Top Ten Reviews

Oddly enough, the RMS for the PA120 is 100w higher than the F12. They both hit the same low frequency, but the Acoustech goes by far the lowest.

I may need to get myself a new sub now

I don't know much about the PA120s.. they might be all that. I wouldn't get the F12 over it if you are already running it. 200 RMS is pretty serious if that's indeed what the amp is running. It just seems funny how there's not much info on this sub. Reminds me of some of those HT brands that sell from the back of a van. They look legit, but once you open them up, another story.

TexASS. My house isn't that big.. I have a couple of close bros who live in 3-4k sq ft homes. A guy I train with lives in a mcmansion.. around 7000 sq ft. My house fits in his foyer. I'm not even joking. He freaking puts up a rockefeller christmas tree every year.. inside.

"Hey, there's only old shredded Chinese newspapers and chunks of lead in this box!!"

I won't disagree with you about that brand though. I was skeptical myself but figured it was worth a shot. I love it when I hear about those guys selling "quality" sounds systems out of the back of their van. It's a common scam around here and people keep falling for it.

I was actually referring to the Acoustech though. I'm sure I can unload my current sub for ~200, so I could get half way to buying the Acoustech. Xmas gift to myself?
