The 3G Ramblings & General Discussion Thread (Part 2)
I just got caught up from last night to now....
turns out that we are all dicktards! Especially you newbs!
That's why I sold my 3G, cuz all you newbie dicktards are buying them.
S4/S5 vice 335i, not quite a fair comparison, same year S4/S5 is in the range of $5K+ more than a 335 xdrive. About $10K more than my 2wd car. I watched a Motor Trend comparison video of the S4/5 to a 335i. The S came out on top, but the car is significantly more than the 335i, the S should be compared to the M3 and the M will kick it's ass. New S4/5 is about $60K. 335i is about $48K nearly loaded. M3 is about $63...that would be a fair comparison the the Audi S. Just saying.

Toyota Corolla & Camry, Toyota Land Cruiser, Ford Crown Vic, old F150 and Rangers are also good contenders. If they break they cost a penny to fix and they can go a stupidly long way.
Hopefully this 335i will be a good reliable car. (that I can use regular gas in).
Best previous vehicles were the Isuzu Trooper, a beast, my 280Z cars, Toyota Celica GTS, and the TL.
Anyway, I've owned a lot of cars.
I have driven a CC when I was looking for a car...it was OK, more luxury than sport to me.

I don't think Audi offering is good enough to compete with what it should compete with, and hereby not a very popular choice. At $60K it's definitely not a cheap car, most people unless completely sold on the interior or the exterior are going to opt for a Mercedes or a BMW it seems.
Still like it whenever I see one, great car in all black.

No chance for the 240SX. Even with a SR20DET swap the 335 must have hurt his ego...
Fun cars those late 90ies/early 00s Nissan, I don't feel like we're ever going to see similar cheap & fun cars ever again.
Which reminds me around 2 weeks ago I saw a GT-R on a between 2 walls 45mph "highway" in Montreal. I kept messing around him in 3rd gear for him to open it up and he did eventually. I love the sound, best ass whooping!
Was surprised to see a GT-R in winter though, most people don't drive these... it was pretty dirty too.
I gave it to my sister after getting my 3G..
Hahaha @ senior buffet special

GT-Rs are popping up around here now, I've seen 2 in the last couple weeks...they sound awesome when WOT for sure! I was beside a GT-R at a light when I still had my TL...he took off...gone in 3 secs! My dick was hard!
I had an '03 350Z...it was a fun car to drive. Uncomfortable, the seats being quite firm. 287 HP and they don't weigh much, it was fun.

You leave yourself open to many jokes, good thing you're a good sport haha!
Just had some ribs with pilaf rice. If I ever get the death sentence I know what my last meal will be.
I might have taken a Viagra...doubt it though cuz I was on my way to the golf course and it's difficult to play with that big protrusion!

BMW also has 4 years/80km, Lexus 4 years/80km (powertrain 6/110km), Mercedes 4 years/80km and Porsche 4 years/80km. These are the base warranties without any add-on. I don't see why Audi gets a bad rep for this when everybody else is doing it but Lexus on the powertrain.
I started looking through audi specific forums and everyone would say the same thing: "they're reliable as long as you maintain them". I had beef with that, because shit can always break on a car that isn't even a maintenance item. Am I supposed to pull all electronics every couple years and replace them? Doesn't make sense. I think many guys had newer Audis, so they may have not had issues, but talk to anyone driving a 5+ year old audi and you start sweating bullets.
I'd likely buy a Lexus with NO warranty, straight from a dealership, because they have the reliability locked down. BMW and Mercedes, although not great, are still better than audi, and as pointed out, even Benz has a 5 year warranty.
Maybe audi does offer it, but it wasn't visible on the website and it was enough to scare me away.
On another point, I always thought that the Audi S class was NO comparison for the BMW M class. As pointed out, it would likely be 335 vs S4 for comparable results, but the price gap is huge. Is this true?

I was pricing out Audis online about two years ago, and it stated they all came with the standard 4 year/80k warranty. They also didn't have an option to select an extended warranty, for X number of dollars, like pretty much every other manufacturer I've ever looked at.

You should really get a JB and up the boost. You can be pretty aggressive since you're at elevation.
btw.. on TFL, the GT-R is the only car to break 4 seconds 0-60 at elevation.. and those guys suck at launching cars, tracking them too. Beast Mode.

The GT-R....mmmm.
Question for you guys...I saw a video about the Koenigsegg One:1 supercar...Said it was like 1100 HP and premium gasoline and 1300+HP using E85. How can that be?
Edit, it was an article in C & D.
