The salad tossing is the cherry on the sundae.

I stick for the great information and the nice people. Gary, Rockstar, Justn, Brake, Yumcha, Jamie (still scared man), Taco, you and the other people I don't know much yet + those I forgot.

Maj humors me too, so there's that.

H-T was a clusterfuck. I don't even remember my log on information. It was more so High School drama. Up here in Sac there was a guy trying to be an E-thug, and thought he was a baller. He got called out by another member to see him at the meet. "E-thug" was hiding in the shop the whole time at the meet. The dude that called him out pulled up in his oddy and on both sides of the van it said "Fuck you and the E-thugs name"

I was like oh shit, shit bout to hit the fan.

Ah, I remember HT... Sadly, the 3G forum is headed in the same direction, especially since assholes like me and PB join

But in all seriousness, whoever originally said that it's because the cars become cheaper is 100% correct. I remember being on HT when 92-95 civics were in high demand and still fetched a decent price. The community was generally pretty helpful. Fast forward 7 years later, you'd see "build threads" of $200 cars, completely rusted to shit with mismatched body panels and oil guzzling engines. Everyone being a stupid asshole and slowly the whole forum section degrades. I haven't been there in years now because I couldn't believe the shit people were posting.

Not to keep on and on about it. But, these threads about regular or premium are just getting ridiculous. If I had a question about it, I would ask for y'alls opinions on it in this thread and leave it at that. I mean, just put some gas of your choice in your car, get where you need to go, and shut up about it.

It's like a fucking scab... Every time I refresh the main forum, it comes up and I can't help but click on it... Oh whale...

The 3G forum is tainted mostly because of you.

My car is almost bone stock at the moment but I cannot wait for it to start guzzling oil and rust to start so I can put a turbo in it!

Well, as the TL gets cheaper, you'll only see more ballers-on-a-budget asking the same stupid fucking question. Eventually, you'll come into the 3G section and every thread title will be about reg vs premium

The guys "building" those piece of shit, rusted to hell, barely running, six times stolen and stripped civics weren't even doing turbo builds. It was more of "check out this sweet intake I made from some gutter piping I ripped off my neighbours house", etc.

And yes, you're 100% right about the trending topics. Only gonna get worse. Makes me think that buying a TLX might be a saving grace

The ones I laugh at are :Found a TL.. Should I buy it?

Well, I don't know. Do you like it? It's your money and your decision. Why ask others?

The 3G just resonates with us for some reason, I still smile every time I walk out to my car or hell even see one drive by. It truly is timeless. I think even in 10 years, we'll still look back at how gorgeous the 3G TL will be. I hope it won't be rusted and beat up by then.

I kinda want to register there to see some of this modding going on. I ripped on one of my brother's friend once because he was putting like $3K on a $300 rusted Civic DX, mostly wheels. He ended up cracking his motor a week after. The WIP pictures he put on FB back then were hilarious, a Civic jacked up on wood pallets so he could line up his suspension, couldn't believe anything I saw.

The 3G is a great looking car.. Timeless indeed. I've had mine 7 mths and still turn back to look at it when I'm walking away. Speaking of timeless, the 94 4 door Legends still look good to me.

Yea I still like my WDP 07TL despite all the issues I've had that thankfully were covered under the extended warranty I purchased when new.

I think the dumbass levels follow a sinusoidal curve.

At first, dumbass levels are high due to new owners and likely people who aren't necessarily all into cars but have a desire to learn.

Then dumbass levels go down, since Vehicle prices are still high, but knowledge of the car and serious modifications begin to occur

And by the end if it, the car is worth $34.50 and every dumbass with a drivers license is jumping on board, bringing the dumbass level up again.

Yea AT, but no transmission problems thankfully.

But I've had an oil leak, hands free link crapped out, the side mirror motors crapped out 2x, some purge valve in my gas tank crapped out & the display for the clock and climate control keeps turning off and on (need to bring that in to fix)

I think there's sometthing else but if have to look at my logs.

It's highly scientific. I'm doing my PhD thesis on this topic as we speak. Should be done in about 4 minutes.

I bought mine with 68k miles and have 81.5k now. Only issues are the passenger side seat heater switch light is out and occasionally I get the tighten fuel cap message. Otherwise, it's been solid so far. Hope it stays that way a while!

The tighten fuel cap message was the issue I had. Something about a purge valve in the gas tank getting stuck open.

That was covered under warranty for me. The dealership told me it's a common issue they've seen with the 3G TL.

My driver side seat heater light went out maybe 2 years after I got it.

Also my OEM battery died after 1 year. Funny enough I was on my way to an Acurazine meet in Southern California from Northern CA.

So far with all the issues I've had, the extended warranty has paid itseld off and I still have another 20k or 2 years left.

The Purge valve is in the engine bay not the tank I have that issue right now too but just being lazy to fix it.. seeing as I rarely drive her now.

The mechanic told me it was in the gas tank

You know because of the pressurized gas tank

I might be saying the wrong part that went bad

Or maybe he mentioned the fuel system

There's a DYI guide floating around to fix it yourself, but hey if you got warranty that's what it's for.

By the way, has anyone else noticed that the ramblings section is taking a super long time to load? Time for a new one? I'd do it, but I don't want to get my peepee slapped... Not sure at what point part 2 was created
