Which one of you wants a white, 1998, targa, 6MT, 3.2L, NSX?
FS: 1998 Acura NSX -T GPW Coupe
With the current exchange rate, he's asking about 38k USD. It's being sold by an old friend of mine. And no, I myself wouldn't buy this thing, lol. Why? Well, look at his build thread, as linked in the for sale ad.
To be honest, at 38k USD, that's a steal of a price, in terms of American dollars. And relax all you mods, I'm not selling anything. Just put up for discussion purposes.

Damn Adam...that's friggin sick and I like your friend's sense of humor. He should consider changing his sig from shady drink of water during the sale though.
I love it, but the heavily modified would kill me...I'd want to make my own creation, not inherit someone else's.

My beef with that car is that it's been so heavily modified (as you pointed out). If I were to buy an NSX, I would keep that thing 100% stock. That NSX originally had a tan interior. White on tan. He showed me pics before he bought it and it was so beautiful.
The car does drive nice though and the engine head has been upgraded as well. It's one of two NSXs I've had the pleasure of piloting, and I must admit, it doesn't disappoint.

LOL...right, but it's still almost 40 grand. At that price point, I have a LOT of other options. I'd also have to hope that someone else would want to buy it as modified as it is.
I hate the rear wing, I hate the hood, I don't like the front lip...I read through his posts and a lot of the pictures showed how he got it originally.
Either way, can't...won't...I'll have to be patient.

I found that old picture. Before he owned it. I thought It didn't have a kit on it at that point, but looks like I'm wrong. Would have been a beautiful car if it remained in stock condition... I guess this at least kind of gives you an idea though.
White on tan that would have been a sick car back in 1998

I actually loved how it looked before he modded it. I am sure I would love that car, and it's not a terrible price, it's just 40 grand and a mission to get down here.
Come to think of it, that's what Jose (a local meet guy) paid for an unmolested yellow 2004 NSX (IIRC). Crazy...

My wife and I lived in Carmel, Pacific Grove, and Monterey for 3 years back in 76-79 when my wife was in the Army stationed at Ft. Ord, long since closed. We go back every few years and still have friends that live there. We were poor but still loved living there and unfortunately can't afford to live there now. Our first apartment there was about 600 square feet...tiny little place on San Carlos in Carmel but we loved it!

I tell my military padres that if they get a chance to go to language school up in Monterrey to jump on it. Only thing I don't like there are some uppity restaurants in Monterrey outside of the tourist traps. Last time I was there we ate at a nice italian place. Got there right as it opened and was seated in the smallest table there. Asked the waitress for a both, she said none were available. I asked what about that couple there, they got a booth, there's no one here?! Got up and left, ate a dive chowder place across the street that was pretty good. Monterrey has changed quite a bit since the 70's / 80's. Not a great deal but the tourist area by the aquarium makes me sick.

It has definitely changed...living there we knew the good cheaper places to eat. Best place on the peninsula for breakfast was the Fat Cat, kind of a dump off of 17 mile drive before you go into the Pebble Forest. There was a great restaurant in PG for lunch, pita style sandwiches before the were fashionable. Personally I loved the golf there. Great courses other than the "name" courses like Pebble Beach and Cypress. I got to play those too but some of the municipal courses were a lot of fun too. Good memories.
My understanding is the Language Institute is now a college graduate program teaching the languages. Last time we were there it was in the works. As as I know the Naval Postgraduate School is still operating. That was 4 years ago. We're going back out there in the spring.

You're talking about someone who's likely never spent more than a few weeks in the US in total. It's quite impossible to know all the gems. Wifey and I are planning to drive to Seattle this summer, but we really don't know what to see and where to stop. Just gonna wing it (unless someone wants to take the time to point some stops out). Even looking online, everyone and every place claims to be the greatest place to visit. Lots of places, like parks or scenic areas aren't really even advertised.
