People do change, me included. I used to be jealous, now I don't really give a shit. Probably due to being insecure or something similar in highschool.
I can imagine some of the things that bother me to bother me less in the future... or not. As you said it yourself, who knows if I'm excluding myself from anything... I'm willing to ride the wave for now.

Sigh...to be honest, I think 2015 has just gone off the deep end with how it started and heck, how 2014 ended.

Everyday has been another headline of WTF-variety...I'm trying to add some element of slapstick to it...

And I'll apologize in advance if I'm offending any of you in this thread. Just let me know if i tis and I'll STFU.

Yummy, please, continue on. Humour is always appreciated in light of dark times. I don't look at it as undermining those who have died and now those who suffer, but more of not letting the bad mofo's win and get away with it. They want us to hurt. They want us to cry. A smile is the biggest bitch slap you can give them.

Yeah...screwed up few weeks. Between yet another airplane going down to that nutbar in Edmonton who shot up his clan because his wife gave birth to a boy that was not his...and then the BS going on in Paris. Let's not forget everyday ISIS does something reprehensible down in Syria and etc.

Sigh.

Almost makes you want to curl up in a fetal position over in the corner.

'TIS THE LAND OF FREEDOM.

'MURICA, FUCK YEAH!

But yeah, your jokes change nothing to what happened and should not be viewed as if they had any influence on the outcome. You can laugh, you can cry, make jokes about it, it doesn't change anything. I wouldn't hold you accountable for what terrorists did and do, and that's the way I wish people would treat my dark humor sometimes instead of being so offended by a little Canadian dude with twisted jokes. Even if I crack a joke about it, it doesn't condone the act of those people who do harm to others nor does it make me a terrorist.

I have zero regrets having my son...he's brought so much happiness to me...but, there are times I wonder how I can shelter and protect him from the stupidity that happens in this world.

Almost jokingly think having him is like an act of cruelty..."HERE, this is the world we are going to let you run around in. Have fun!" (meanwhile, people are killing each other left and right, issues with bullying in schools, starvation, corruption in governments)...

First, reading the conversation about Bunny's relationship issues...what I say to that...try being married for 40 years...my wife is a Saint!

Second...Yummy, thanks for the "lighter side"...

Third...if my soldiers kill enough of your soldiers we fcking win, kind of like WWII...not at all like Korea, Vietnam, (damn ), Iraq, and Afghanistan. Ain't, or rather shouldn't be, any such thing as a limited war. My feeling...you come to my country and kill my homies, you are done...France should nuke Yemen!

We fight a limited war in Iraq and Afghanistan and now we're dealing with ISIS...eff that.

Problem with nuking countries is that it solves nothing. That's what so scary about terrorists "now", they could be you or me. Think civil war, not WWII.

That was typed somewhat tongue in cheek...except that if you have a big radioactive desert on the south end of the Arabian peninsula, that eliminates any more terrorists being trained in Yemen.

Also, when we, the USA, dropped the 2 bombs on Japan it ended WWII, period! Yes, it killed many many Japanese, but it saved probably many more US and other allied lives. It definitely solved that. Now look...Japan and the US, as well as Germany and Italy are now US Allies.

I see what you mean, but I still think it wouldn't solve anything over the course of time. Rather spare the majority of innocents and target the terrorists groups directly, as much time and effort as it takes. The innocents shouldn't be paying the price for what a handful of ill-intentioned individuals of the same nationality do. Same as Americans shouldn't be paying for some nutjobs like the Westboro Baptist Church.

Killing your foe and sending any survivors to the stone age seems to solve things quite well from recent history. Most terrorist groups are not as sophisticated or underground as you may think. Israel has done quite fine in that regard. The threat is always real but it's their willingness to die and the number of them with that mentality that is a scarce resource.

Yes, it also made it that most countries agreed to never use an atomic bomb again. It's also easier to say "we saved so many lives" when nobody you know who's not in the military got a bomb dropped on their head. I'm all for the survival of many over few, but not so much for the survival of many over... many.

I don't believe in extremism, whether from one side or the other.

It did lead to treaties among sophisticated, civilized, countries. Do you think that the terrorist organizations, Al Qaeda or ISIS would hesitate to use a nuke if they got their hands on one?
