I agree Yum...eat at home...but when we go out...we go to nice places with damn fine food...
I have more golf clubs than any single human being needs...like 30 putters and 30 wedges...but that's my passion so...and my golf clothes, I need to be a scratch dresser!

You can buy a 2010 CTS-V with ~40k miles for 34k right now. Not effing bad considering it's a track monster and kid hauler. A wagon on the other hand is not to be found for less than 44k.

My rule: Cheap where I can be (so, stuff like bring lunches, eat at home more often than not)...I believe in getting the full life out of a car. So, leases are no-thanks. Credit card debt is for idiots.
Otherwise, for where $$$ needs to be spent. Spend it. So, clothes, I'll pay a bit more for it if it looks good and is nice quality. When I'm out for dinner, I'll order whatever the heck I want. I like my watches. And yes, I have more robots than I can count.
But, hey...worked hard to get to where I'm at. Gonna enjoy life a bit too.

34K for that car isn't bad for sure, but 34K was above my cheapass budget. Plus, there is bound to be a putter that will lower my scores coming out soon.

I eat quality, put quality fluids in my car, quality tires on the wheels, and live a quality life. You need to take care of yourself. Don't get cheap where it counts.

I'm cheap where I need to be. But, generally believe I'm smart with my $$$ and have enough savings going for a rainy day, for my son's education, and also for my retirement life.
Anything else I have left over? Heck yeah...clothes, good food, and toys please.

By their retarded definition...NOTHING in life is permanent. NOTHING. But, it's the experience and memories that you take with you.

Exactly, memories and pictures and of course spending time with the person you went with, whether that be spouse, kids, or parents.

And to a degree, OVERDOING trips can be a waste of money because well, each time somewhere far is a couple grand.
But, if it's within your means to...sure, why not? This planet has so much to explore and see.
I can ski alright. Won't attempt to say I'm a pro.
Senior Moderator
Or another way of looking at my ski-skills: Ski, yes. Stop, no.
Okay, I'm not that bad. But, that simplifies it.

I've been snowboarding, no where near a pro.

I'm probably a pro at falling on my ass 20 million times in 1 day.

I've boarded a couple times and yeah, at some later point, you just want to stay down. Too. Much. Pain.
Just leave me. I'm fine dying on this mountain. Leave me.

Why can't people these day understand this?
I have friend that drives around with a cracked windshield. Complains that it's too expensive to fix (I've found a local shop that can do it for her for $110 out the door).
Yet she goes to Vegas all the time and spends money on new watches and raves and stuff.....
I guess this is also in line with that stupid Octane debate... to each their own..

Was at West Ed mall the other day with wifey... Looked through Simons... Found a nice sweater for $39.99, on sale for $29.99. Looked good, well priced, fit fantastic, and if it falls apart next week, zero fucks given. Went to a baller store a little bit later in the same mall (hey, I was caught by the 50% off sign, lol). I swear to god, the sweater I bought and the one I was looking at looked near identical. The difference? That one costed $300 and was on sale for $150. Same material too (Marino wool, if I'm not mistaken). Fuck that. Some people are absolutely brain dead when it comes to shopping.

I loooove me some snowboarding. I don't mind skiing either, but I prefer snowboarding. I used to go a shit ton every year, but as of late, not so much. Only got out once so far this year and loved every minute of it. Hope to go another two times before the mountains close up for the year.
I'm a big fan of tree riding (aka, go riding between the man made runs). That's where you always find at least a foot of powder no matter the conditions (because who the fuck ventures into the trees?), it's super technical and pretty slow, but so much fun. The few people who know that's the best place to find the best snow help make the run that much better... After a few of the pesky branches get knocked down, it's all good!
