Also hit up Jasna Gňra yesterday, in Częstochowa. It’s a super holy city-there is a very old cathedral there with 50 foot tall brick walls surrounding it. The Swedes tried taking over it, several hundred years ago but were never able to capture it. There’s still remnants of where their catapults we’re launching boulders into the walls. It’s been very much well restored and is constantly being worked on. It was also heavily forties due to having lots of gold on hand there. John Paul II used to do occasional masses there, and 150k people would show up just to pray. Place is super beautiful also.
