I'd love a restored 240z... They're still fairly cheap and there are some very nice examples out there... I bet prices will start going up more and more.

and J, that Tahoe is gangster. I used to love those things when they just came out... mint ones are a rarity now.
There's something to be said about older cars... I feel like I'm locked in a past generation, also. I'm more attracted to a mint 14 year old 6MT TL, than I am a new DSG Golf R
New cars are getting crazy with tech... it'll be interesting to see how it all stands the test of time, crazy climates, bumps and even collisions.

owning the next gen of them has made me realize how much i even loved the previous gen...
that one probably was resprayed but damn...and then it has some bobo base model gm wheels on it that just fit the body style so fucking well!
she ain't perfect, but I do love her...
contemplating putting in a big order on it...I have decided that it's a solid enough vehicle I like driving enough to hang onto it...
idler,pitman,idler bracket, inner and outer tie rods...the suspension now is all over the fuckin place...reading up on acdelco advantage over pro over moog...cost difference is pretty substantial.

i think the car is getting picked up today for the crusher, or whatever ins decides to do with it.
I picked at it, mostly picking the brand new stuff he just replaced on it. like side mount, etc.
I did score a nice interior kit!! a redline nappa leather armrest with matching handbrake boot and shifter boot. aspec steering wheel with nappa leather to match too!

I just helped them...fender liners etc...
anything that would be visible to the insurance...i'm like hands off fools!
i was lucky they let me take the HFP wheels! I gave that thing to the tow truck on 4 spares...
new R is great on paper! but that payment...fuck that! plus, I don't find them as aggressive as the previous gen gti's...that you can make pretty damn fun with some tuning anyway...like, i don't want to be told the performance numbers to think something is aggressive...like the S4...oh is that an A4?!? OH MY GOD NO IT'S BADASS IT'S FAST...like with the V...it looks the part too...which was why I picked it over the S4 originally and continues to be my gripe.
