Her dad was a good guy. Last I heard, he's fighting throat cancer atm... smoking for 35 years of your life can do that to a guy, I suppose. I'm rooting for him to pull through, though. He always seemed like a genuinely good person.

Either way, don't feel sorry for me. Knowing she's with that guy made the split SO much easier...
