I had the same thing happen with a disposal once and I can confirm that a patch cut from a beer can and some JB Smoove Weld will get you up and running for a remarkably long time.

When I quit my first jerb (put in my 2 weeks), they suddenly were able to rationalize the promotion and pay raise I had been looking for. I accepted it happily... And then turned around to the new company and got them to increase their offer.
It worked out well. Highly recommend.

Hey y’all... had a busy crazy day so far, going off minimal sleep 
Dropped the lady friend off at work first thing, came back home and cleaned up the last remaining shit. I have a new roommate moving while I’m in Europe. How fucking inconvenient (not his fault, just the guy moving out left me in a shitty position). house is being watched by the basement guys, though. All will be ok. Or all three will conspire to rob me blind. Nah, this is Canada. They’ll just apologize to each other and do shots of maple syrup. All three guys also speak French
anyway... then dropped poor Tobeh off and now I’m finally at the airport, having a beer in the lounge, waiting for my first of three flights.
