Off topic: Motorweek also showed the Saturn Sky. Pretty nice looking (inexpensive) roadster.

Improved ride comfort
According to the details pages at VTEC.net, the '07 TL has recieved the following enhancements for improved ride comfort:
* Suspension tuning to enhance ride comfort while maintaining handling performance
* Front spring rates reduced by 7 percent from 2006 TL
* Shock absorbers and compliance bushing retuned for ride comfort
* Thicker hollow front anti-roll bar and new larger diameter hollow rear anti-roll bar
* New rear subframe bushings for reduced NVH
* Stiffer 17 x 8-inch aluminum-alloy wheels that result in less road noise
* Underbody brake strake to reduce brake fade
It looks like Acura responded to the ride complaints.

All 2nd Gen TL's had moonrooof's and heated seats for 1999-2003.
There were only four configurations for that car (non-Nav, Nav, non-Type-S and Type-S ), but all had heated seats and a moonroof.
Honda/Acura is one of the few manufacturers that does not have individually optional moonroof's. It's always either with a model or part of a trim package (i.e. EX Accord)

Hmmmm. Gotta check out the online Acura parts website for the price and compatibility of the Type-S sway bars. Previously the cost of OEM Acura bars was fairly low compared to aftermarket.

I have a 2005 6MT TL, while it does have larger bars than the 5AT model I don't believe it has a hollow rear bar. So the bars for the Type-S and 6MT may be different since the Type S rear is listed as hollow.
Have to wait until SunnySide Acura has their parts website for the 2007 models updated and compare the swaybar part numbers.

I just found out about the 07 TL from the Motorweek show.
I checked a local dealer about the 07 TL, they have not ordered any new TLs yet, but they expect it will be available late Oct or early Nov.
This may be a serious contender to replace an old Passat late this year or early next year. My other cars on my short list are G & IS (I don't mean to start a war again )
It is kinda weird to have two Acuras though (bought a TSX for spouse in Jan )

Honda has always used an orange interior theme to signify performance, the Type R, and Si's comes to mind. I also think the TL-S interior looks many times better than the old G35.

I think you are correct since the Acura.com website lists the swaybar sizes for the 2007 Type-S as 27mm/20mm which is the same diameter as the 2004-2006 6MT TL.

I was trying to record the TL part off to a camcorder, but I get a half black line from the middle to the bottom. I know its due to the TV refresh frames.. but Im not sure how to fix it. Does anyone know? Then I can upload for everyone to view.
#2669
This is the best I could get off of a camcorder. I couldnt upload it all since there was a 25mb limit on putfile. At least this gives you an idea.

Is that what the exhaust sounds like in the Type-S? Interesting ... and thanks for posting the vid. Getting a camcorder and upping it onto putmedia ... That's beyond the call of duty.

He is right about the 6MT tranny only being available on the Type S. You can find all the details and info about the 07's at the link below. There is a ton of small details/changes they have done to fix a lot of problems with the MMC. Its a couple of pages long, but worth the read.
6-Speed Manual Transmission (TL Type-S only)
Close ratio spacing for maximum performance
Multi-cone synchronizers (first through fourth gears)
Reverse lock-out feature prevents accidental engagement
Lightweight high-pressure-cast aluminum-alloy transmission housing
Improved clutch feel for smoother engagement
Advanced clutch torsion mechanism reduces gear noise
Helical gear limited-slip differential reduces wheel spin and maximizes acceleration

As for the vid, i replayed it and it was longer than what it is now. I wonder if they chopped it up.

Ok guys... Toronto-TL just sent me a better quality and full version of the Motorweek TV review of the 07 TL. I uploaded it again at this new URL:
http://media.putfile.com/07-Acura-TL-S---Motorweek
I took off the first one.
