07 TL, None of my Windows Work
07 TL, None of my Windows Work
My son called me from school last night about his drivers window would not go up, then he realized none of the windows would work in his 07 TL. He said he tried several times from the individual switches and from the master switch and finally the drivers window went up and he's leaving it up for now. I don't htink it's a regulator issue because none of the windows would work.
Is there known problems with the master switch going bad and should I have him try cleaning the contacts with some electronic switch spray or WD-40 before locating and replacing hte master switch?
thanks

Pair of TL's are you saying it's rare Acura owners of these model years have to replace their master power windows switch.
Question: Can the master power windows switch module prevent the other windows from operating via their individual switches, becuase that's what he's describing.
Thanks

Update on the issue my son is having with his Acura None of the following works and they all stopped working at the same time:
thanks

- None of the Windows will operate via the master or individual window switches
- Neither key fob will not lock/unlock the doors or open the trunk (batteries replaced). Trunk release/open button inside the car works just fine to open the trunk
- When the DS door is opened the Lock switch will lock/unlock all doors, same if he opens the PS door, the PS lock switch operates all locks.
- Also he tried holding down the unlock button on the key fob, the windows will not roll down.
thanks

1. Make sure the window lock switch is in the up position, i.e. not depressed.
The window lock switch is the rectangular button in front of the window buttons on the driver's door armrest.
2. It sounds like your remotes are not linked to the car.
See https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-a.../#post13468929 for instructions to link the remotes to the TL.
G/L.
Thanks Will Y.
I will be visiting him this weekend and I will take my DVM, fuses etc and try what has been recommended on this site. Hopefully we can get things operational and I will post an update once I lay eyes on it myself.
Thanks

Update Repaired!!!,
The issue turned out to be the main harness blue connector (black wire) for the Drivers side door. I noticed things was funky when the doors was closed vs opened, so I began troubleshooting with the door opened and the plunger pressed.
During my troubleshooting I could hear some clicking in the door jam. The black wire in the harness on the blue connector was severed and barely touching when the door was opened or closed. Spliced it back and re-programmed the key fobs, now all is well. Thanks everyone for your support and leads.
