My window switch burned out...literally. HELP!
I left my windows open during a rain storm by accident. while driving tonight, i saw smoke come from the driver side switches. My rear pass side window will not work. Any ideas on what to do? I am clueless. Thanks
Take the panel off and see how bad the damage is. Does the rear passenger switch work? Do all of the switches in the car work besides yours?
You can find the master control switches as a salvage yard. It cost me $75 for mine. It is very easy to replace and doesn't take long at all.

Best way is to look at your wiring connections and then you can simulate and make it work, then you can probably rig it without replacing the main connector. A lot of work, though. GL!
Yeah, I just spent an hour on it to no avail. Ended up using a roll of duct tape to seal it up.
Anyway, I tried to jam copper wire into the burnt connectors after boring them out as to reach the wire where the pins meet.
Is there a way to jump the window right from my battery to the switch?
Thanks for all the input.
