As far as a resource, possibly the single most useful thread on the forum. Chock full of FAQ's, DIY's and other useful info. BUT, as many of us know, it's a little dusty here and there.

So I am asking for two things:

1. If you know of any particular threads listed in the Garage that are irreparably broken (links out of date, pics broken, etc) or simply out-of-date info and should be removed, let me know via this thread or via PM, and

2. If there is a thread you think should be archived, let me know via this thread or via PM. This part is especially important. Even without a full clean-out, it will help keep the garage looking fresh, like a new coat of paint.

YOU, the membership, know what the useful threads are. If you find one that doesn't have an 'archive section number' (D-097, A-001, etc) in the title, post or send the link and I (or any other moderator) can add it.

Haha nope. I always thought the 3G Garage was full of old ass threads with missing picture links and such, but didn't think anything would ever be done.

I know this may be asking a lot but is there anyway to have the service manuals be available for download like they have for Nissans and Infinitis? I have a 2003 Pathfinder and it is very helpful to have access to a free version of them.

I think we need to keep in mind that just because some links are broken, doesn't mean the thread has no value.

For example, the Cargo Net thread has several broken links on the first page, but someone re-hosted pictures later in the thread. To me the thread is still a good reference, you just have to get past page 1 to find what you need.

True but knowing how I am and how other members are, we want the information to be there as soon as we click it. If it's not on the first page, I doubt many of us would go to the next page.

That would definitely be helpful. I don't mind searching a bit on the front page of a thread for someone's key info or even heading to a specific page if it was updated, but plowing through loads of info-less posts is very time consuming and I'll just end up doing a specific google parameter search on another site.

I have a scanned (as image) PDF of the '04 service manual, and OCR converted that to a PDF so I can do a text search without manually looking - however the conversion wasn't 100% perfect so doesn't work every time. They're each about 40 MB.

I'd be happy to share with the forum, as long as that's not some copyright infringement, etc etc? In case you post back here and I don't see it, just PM me.
