A while ago, Moderator Bitium ever created the poll... 2004 TL Rate it!!!! POLL... "Click Here"
You may see there were only 284 votes in 4-week span. This may not mean how many 04TLers are really here, but don't you feel it's curious how many 04TL owners may have participated in this wonderful forum?
I set up the color choices with this thread, which could also help us display the distribution of 04TL colors.
Also, when we usually vocalize why Acura never listens to us, we may have to prove to them how many percentage of 04TL owners are here? Sometimes, I feel we just a very small portion of 04TL owners (less than 1%) here to moan about issues.
We may have someone who is not 04/05TL owners voting into this poll, it won't hurt the final numbers too much though.

i don't have an 04 but i voted cause i didn't read that it was only for the 04, therefore it should be in the third gen section. plus the only way u can view the results is by voting.

This is the good part for this system. It only allows each registered user to vote once. Except you have multiple accounts here, you should only have one vote.

silver and anthracite is more popular colors i think. when i see one on the road that is the color i usually see. i bought a silver and thought the TL looked best in that. i love black cars and thought i was going to get the black for sure. but the brochure and showroom had a silver one and it just looks so sweeeeeet.

Anthracite is getting popular recently. I feel it is similar to fashion clothes and shoes while they are fresh, new, and hot, everyone would buy them. However, Black, White, and Silver would always be most people's favorite before, now, and then. My .02.

If you did a Canadian vote versus a U.S. vote I think the results would be a little different. In Canada, as I recall, we can only get the Redondo Red and the Anthracite in manual. I wanted auto so I had to pass on the two colours I preferred and go for the SSM/Ebony combination.

You have points. However, it's hard to get the good outcome when only one topic can be put into the POLL feature. IMO, no matter how procedures finally have been through/done, this POLL is just gonna reflect the simple result for colors distribution.
I guess no one like to enter the survey-like POLL thread, right?

I know how popular Anthracite would be, but never think it's almost 1/3 of our members getting this color.

neuronbob - I think you're right, I think they say silver is the most popular color overall. So...maybe the TL will be an exception...or...maybe the people on this forum aren't a good statistical sample of TL owners. If they've sold 35,000 and the poll is of 250 owners, that's not enough for an accurate sample.

Perfectly said, Johnb. I still don't have my Black (NBP) TL. But here in Canada we have an additional "challenge"- if we want Anthracite or Redondo Red, we have to go for the Manual transmission. The Anthracite looked nice in the pictures, but Auto is the transmission for me. But I like black best anyway...I just don't like the maintenance

I went to many dealers and asked which color people ordered the most and I always got Anthracite color as their replies.
Just for example:
Cush Acura of Escondido just have 10 TL 04 in and 6 of them are Anthracite, and the rest are other color.

Good point about regional differences. I am in Florida where aesthetics is ballanced with practicality in the tropical and constant sun. Dark interiors are problematic unless you are a nocturnal beast or have asbestos underwear. We are more prone to light exteriors for same reason. White is the number one color in Florida but I believe that is skewed by our large fleets. Ignoring all those practical considerations, NBP (black) is beautiful if you keep your car clean.
