Got the pump figured out, problem was that there was no "switched power" on the under hood fuse box. Ran the line to driver side "power seat" fuse #2 and everything works as it should.
Doing my first WOT pull with VIT (1700 to 4000RPM in 3rd gear). Now the exciting part of the build.
@ Utah.. Im curious about your washer/pump incident. How many washers were you using? What thickness were they? I mean I understand the principles of how that could cause it to crack, but my setup seems so simple. Flanged bolts with washers on the other side of the pulley. I feel like I wouldn't have a problem with it. But maybe I should still seek out getting a plate made.
In other news, got back from the drive.. belt/pulley makes a very slight chirping/squealing noise while driving, but none while @ idle. uhggg belt problems really suck.
During my WOT pull I hit 10psi in 3rd gear @4000RPM. I didn't expect that honestly, I thought I would hit hit 10psi around 7500RPM. Time to get an RDX MAP sensor or the Hondata MAP snesor.
@UTAH you beefed up your internals after you blew up your motor, you think my internals will be able to handle this?
OH yeah, and I painted my favorite Japanese saying on my aftercooler. It came out really nice.. When the bumper is on it's a little hard to see but I like that it's subtle. Plus Im thinking about taking the mesh portion of the lower bumper off completely. We will see...
How is your clutch/flywheel setup working out for you joe??
So far so good. I've put close to 2000 miles on it already. I haven't hit the higher RPM's really cause I had the break in period and then soon after I did my aftercooler install.
I hear sort of "chatter" I guess you would call it when you let off the throttle and let it coast down while still in gear. It makes a kinda woooshing sound. Optimus said he hears the same thing on his setup as well. As far as clutch feel though I really like it, engages well and feels smooth!
Joe this is your DD right? What do you do when your car isn't drivable?
I work as quickly as I can to fix the problem lol. I wasn't able to drive to work for about week during the aftercooler struggle. I had friends who live near me that also work with me so they gave me a ride to work.
Luckily I don't need my AC for a while so I have secured the existing line from any other movement and will fix it sometime after the holidays.. or after the wedding lol
Working on Cam Angle Low with Vit right now. #Whineanddine seems to be running pretty well for the time being. Every day the calibrations seem smoother and more refined!
Jose from Merc Racing has reimbursed me for the troubles I had on the kit, and we have spoken multiple times to help progress this stage 2 kit on the CU2 platform. It looks like there is a good deal going on now if anyone want to check it out. Hopefully we can continue to work together and get some good information out there for you guys looking to go this route.
Ok so I previewed you guys months ago with a video, and I've completed the final version. I did more mods along the way and didn't capture the updates, but Im happy with the end result. I had a lot of fun making this video and learned quite a bit about adobe premiere pro. I'm sure I'll do some more "high speed" videos during the summer.Hope you guys enjoy it....
Also I was like, wtf he made this turn into a nature document with the tree and then I was like OooooOOo fancy, with the shot of it snowing and your car.
Like the other guys mentioned, more drive-by footage, possibly a 0-60, and burn some rubber.
Well, I meant it when I said it was the "preview" video lol.. It was the start of this video haha, plus who doesn't like Katy Perry?? I was wondering if anyone else would get the spiderman reference hahaha It makes me laugh every time. It's the perfect amount of nerd
Trust me... I want WOT too! I can't ever get my "friends" to help me adjust my pulley and tension my belt more. ANDD on top of that it seems to either rain, sleet, or snow every other day which makes doing data logs with VIT almost impossible. Don't worry though... spring and warmer weather is coming, and with it comes WOT pulls!
I may have also just received a Metra double din in the mail :P excited for what's next

Email from Marcus at Heeltoe-- "Sorry for the long delay in reply. I've finally had a chance to get together with CT to make sense of the issue you have.
The washers are there to shim the pulley to the correct place, depending on the application you are installing on. Civic/RSX/and TSX have different alignment positions and the washers compensate for that.
What you've done is perfectly normal and correct."
Why the original 3.8" pulley wasn't misaligned also I shall never know; perhaps more belt wrap guiding it along the path.
