uhmm actually I think there is one, I forgot about him. He is on the cu2 Facebook page. So that makes 7 of us.

iselfdevi, pretty sure you're the only one with supercharged 2011+

Went down to Mexico this past weekend.

Did a rolling 3rd gear pull with my buddies new (to him) 2011 WRX stage 1 intake +Access Port

It was really really close, I pulled on him for a little while (about 4-5 feet ahead), but had to shift into 4th and lost the upper hand. We were pretty much neck and neck until 100mph when we let off. Really great run. The 5spd WRX had that longer 3rd gear advantage. Anyways.. thought I would share my experience.

So... more reason that you're gonna part out and leave the CU2 crew and get a Subie?

My wife literally freaked out when she saw the listing on FB/Instagram for my car at $14k... looks like I'll be in the TSX for a little bit longer. She is all about the "saving-for-the-house" at the moment. But yeah... still want that STi haha... or maybe quietly build stage 3

Houses are a ton of money. You should have some in reserve because everything will break and you will also need a bunch of household things/equipment/furniture.

Don't hide anything from you new wife she will find out, just be upfront and tell her that you are thinking about doing stage three and it cost $130.00
LOL
Michelin pilot sport +.. all seasons. About 7/32" left of tread. It just doesn't gain traction in 2nd gear with full throttle. This was on completely dry pavement too. I love it.. but don't at the same time. FWD problems hahaha
Get proper tires Joe! Probably the most important performance "mod". If all you care about is dry grip, then I suggest some Hankook RS3s. I love my Michelin PSS because they're quite grippy in the dry, but are fantastic in the rain as well. Gotta put that power down!
yeah super sports are the best. get some wide ass wheels / widest super sport you can get on there. it'll still probably spin though. dat FWD open diff life.
Open diff? Joe you didn't do an MFactory LSD or equivalent? That shoulda been done when you got your clutch changed!
I looked at doing that.. I wanted to do that.. but the cost was like $800 more for the LSD, and I was already spending $1500 on clutch components plus labor. It was just too much money to spend at the time (I was still paying shelling out money for the wedding too)
And I read a lot over on the civic forums that they were still having slip problems even with LSD, so I just didn't do it.

Ohhh well, now you have an excuse for pre-mature wear on your clutch jk.. I know, that's not exactly chump change either.
But maybe now that you're working FT at Honda, you can cut down on some labour costs I guess I was confusing you with optimus. I believe he went MFactory LSD. Would probably be worth getting his opinion on LSD vs stock since he's done it on the CU2 chassis.
So my breather hose from my valve cover to my OEM intake hose started cracking due to dry rot. It created a non optimal vacuum situation, so I first tried to buy a used OEM one on ebay for $20, but it didn't happen. Soooooo I ended up getting an injen intake to replace my rotting OEM intake. Surprisingly, it's actually quieter than stock intake (with resonator removed). I can hear the SC whine more prominantly now, so I think it was a win-win overall.
Yeah I talked to VIT and he was like Nahhh you're fine.. which I expected. I believe the OEM (without resonator) is just as good of SRI as any other aftermarket one. If aftermarket is any better, then I would imagine it's very minimal. I did however notice that when using cruise control, the throttle is much smoother when using the steering wheel buttons than before.
