Since I'm still in school DIY is always my first option lol. I recently had a depressing problem happen to me this weekend... I found condensation in my headlight So I fixed and when I put everything back together I was hyperflashing with my switchbacks. Realized when I disconnected my headlights to re-seal them I stripped the wires going to my resistors and left no slack to reconnect them to my blinkers. Needless to say it was a pain in the ass! Anyways if anyone wants info on fixing condensation I can provide some helpful information. DIY... my specialty lol.

very nice. i hope you don't drive with the CF bra on. and your "CAI" is it just open like that at the bottom of the car? aren't you afraid of water being sucked in from puddles?

Actually, the bra is used twice a year during love bug season. If you don't live in Florida you have NO IDEA. Bra saves you from permanent paint damage. And if you don't put one on washing your car daily gets old real fast! And Killer's right, I still have my filter sitting at the top, not too worried about the water issue. How deep of puddles are you planning on driving in?? I would be more afraid of my fog lights short circuiting before I hydro-lock my engine.

If you have no filter at the end of the tube then essentially you could achieve same results by just removing the oem resonator and leaving the bottom of the oem intake box open. That way you don't have a snorkel sitting 5 inches from the ground...

south florida doesn't get the love bugs like where you're at but sure get the 3 foot deep puddles during rainy season!

Car looks great though...love the progress and your aunt or whoever that is posing on the front of the car. Thought it was funny that you made no comment/mention of her in the pictures!

i know what you mean actually. i drove to tennessee last june for bonnaroo(HUGE music festival, 14 hour road trip, tented it for a week, no showers haha). the car got really white(vortex blue normally =P) and i knew it was the love bugs, but figured whatever. gonna be in the dirt anyway, she'll need a heavy wash anyway. i left it to bake in the tennessee sun like an idiot. when it was being washed a week later, had to get a damn hand buffer out

I had that for a while, just the resonator delete. But then you are still pulling warm air from the engine bay. I essentially just redirected where it was pulling from. Technically speaking oem is CAI cause it pulls straight in front of the grille, but it goes through a rollercoaster of tubes before it gets there. Whether or not it matters if the filter is on top or is sitting at the end of the snorkel is a different story. I would expect that it wouldnt really matter. In the end, we all know CAI doesn't do much for us in hp gains, just something fun I created in my spare time that does the same thing commercial products do.

And the girl was mentioned in a previous thread with the same picture lol

well, on a 3G it's routed to grab air in the front lower fender compartment, not the engine bay. Maybe diff on TSX?

About your ebrake...take off the center console and you'll see a 14mm bolt that you can tighten down. It needs to be done every few years. I actually got to the point where I'd pull it and when I'd lean on trunk to get something, the car would start moving. Easy fix. And cheap.

About the girl...must have missed that thread but considering she's fully clothed...she's got it going on.

Lol. Leave her in gear if the e brake isnt strong enough. Just remember to go back to neutral when you turn the car back on before letting go of the clutch

Yeah i know lol thats what I always do ever since that happened to me. Although it caused me $300 worth of damage to my fender liner when the towing company found out all four wheels were locked up. They didnt like that too much. Towed it with some jerry rigged bullshit that messed everything up.

Exactly. I'd add if you're doing it yourself you should lift both rear wheels and then tighten the bolt rockstar's talking about while getting a friend to spin the rear wheels by hand. This is to make sure you don't over tighten when adjusting the ebrake....don't know what factory specs are for the TSX but there are a certain number of clicks your ebrake should have and if it's more than that spec then you need to have it adjusted.

So... If anyone read earlier about my condensation problem, I also ran into another interesting "find"? When I re-installed my headlight I checked all of lights to make sure they worked properly before I put all the nuts back in and the bumper on. When I was testing though I noticed my DRL would not come on. Even when I manually put it in that mode. BUTTTT when I turned the brights on they came on(as Brights). Then as soon as brights went off and back to DRL mode they wouldn't come on. I probably tried 10 times before I realized this was an awesome "problem." no more DRL lights and I can leave my switch backs ON and look B.A. with no DRL and just LED lights during the day. Then the next morning they started working again... So all of this coming to a conclusion. I was wondering why this problem might have occurred. ECU hiccup? wiring problem? Heat? Fuse??? Hmmm maybe a fuse? But the brights worked! Maybe there is a separate fuse for DRL and brights?? That doesn't really make sense, but I know some other cars do, so maybe the tsx does!. IFFF we do have serparate fuses for brights and DRL does this mean we can solve our annoying DRL issue while keeping our Brights? IDK anyone wanna enlighten the situation??

The fuse is located on the driver side (7.5A) location #15 fuse panel. it is separate from the high beam fuse i believe. try it and tell us, pulling the fuse should be easy.(though your insurance guy man not like it incase of accident)

Yeah, I kinda wanted my drl's to be a darker yellow than OEM. I almost thought about tinting the reflective part yellow like you did when I cleared out my headlights but I was afraid if I didn't like it then I would be stuck with it. I really like your setup though, If I was to keep my DRL's I would do it like yours. But to answer your question, YES my Highs still work and there is no DRL error on the dash either.

It does look pretty boss! how do you have that mounted in without the 2nd piece of the headlight? But if I ever buy another TSX I'll probably do that, or if for some reason I need new headlights. Baking is fun, but I don't feel like doing it again lol.
