I actually might buy those from ebay... except I think they may be better suited as a diffuser on my bumper. For $17 I think I can make it work.
Hey bro I'm thinking of getting those Tien springs, are they sitting on stock cambers and struts? just swapped out springs?
Looks like the corners need to be shaved away a little bit, its kind of bulky. Maybe taper it down a little just on the corners a little bit? It doesnt seem to really flow with the car yet.
So I bought an electric sander this weekend. IDK why I held off on buying one but it makes a world of difference!! I was able to make significant progress on the top side today. It's coming along nicely. Ton of work this week so next update will most likely be next weekend.
Top finally sanded down and fiber-glassed. I'm pretty critical about this stupid piece but when I trimmed away the edges and cleaned it up even I was like "damn, this thing actually looks like a roof spoiler now." Still have some work to do but the bulk of the work is done as far as shaping goes. Now I just need to get a perfectly smooth part on all the edges and surfaces.
use flat black spray and lightly spray it. if you still see white spots, those are valleys (aka pits) that needs to be filled in with bondo. once you sand it down, respray it again to see if its leveled.
they call it valleys and hills

As for painting the covers. I cleaned them all thoroughly with acetone and dish soap. The grey intake manifold was the only part I sanded, it had the most oil and dirt on it. sprayed the valve cover, the black piece, and the grey piece with primer the layed some fresh spray paint on. Valve cover was the only one I used high heat resistant paint. If you wanna see pictures and stuff there is a DIY in the sticky that Dave posted. It's under painting engine covers or something.

looking good!
