All I know is I couldnt go much thinner without losing the integrity of the foam. It gets impossible to work with when it gets too thin. I guess I'll just hope for the best...

Lmao, that's so funny that I wrote that before you posted here lol. Hope it helps you out, it's really not as bad as you think. And if you need any additional help just PM me. I can even help you with the DIY for wrapping the pieces OR painting since I have done them both now. If you get the wrap correct it looks cooler, but it's twice as hard to do, and more costly if you mess up. I decided paint was the better option for me!

how's the texture after you clear coat it? it actually looks pretty nice, even a bit glossy rather than matte.

I'm not sure about the texture yet lol, I installed it when it was still slightly tacky. But I was going for glossy since that's typically the style for interior trim. I assume that it'll harden up like any other paint, and with the glossy clear coat it'll make it much easier to clean. I'll try to get some better pictures, I had my stupid wheel well liner in the back seat that I haven't installed yet. I'm still trying to figure out the best modes for pictures on my camera ( I need some lessons from MCyoungfagboy)

The white trim looks good. Might look funny on non white cars though.

Agreed, like the guy who wrapped white CF vinyl on his grigio. I do think that black plastidip with a clear coat would work for most car colors. Although... if your interior is not black it would look off too!

I think a milano red SE with glossy black trim would be the sex. Someone do it!!

Although, it does remind me of the headunit on my old firebird. It had red numbers and looked really dated(because it was). Red numbers like you'd see on an alarm clock.

ahhhh damn. That looks sweet, I wonder how it feels on your eyes at night time? I bet it def helps with clarity in the day cause the glare off that screen is crazy. This type of mod makes me really wonder how hard it would be to do an LEd cluster swap. Did this guy make a DIY for the display screen

nahhh it's alright, I know I would never be able to do this conversion. Plus I kinda like the white display. SE cluster would be my fav as everyone knows, but I think that mod will never happen for me. I'll just watch with envy. Cool post though, thanks for the picture!

he said "16 red LEDs soldered in"

these are not plug/play style. the old ones must be desoldered, and the new ones soldered on in place

Dude GameOver... you're my favorite SE milano red CU2 here! I would love to see some glossy black trim in your car. You can follow my DIY for trim removal. Plastidip+ Clear coat is less than $10. That would be an awesomely cheap mod! I look forward to your progress!

Clear coat gets it pretty shiny, and after 3 coats its just as if you have used a normal glossy spray paint. It's pretty awesome.

Does this look too big?? I imagine all the rest of the roof spoilers out there have to be this big but idk. I need some perspective. At least this will be close to the finished product.

well shiiiiiiiiiiit. Mine is literally 1" tall at it's highest point and less than .5" at it's lowest.I think the problem is that it doesn't have a continuous flow from the roof to the spoiler. Hopefully I can fix this though.
