Here is a pic of what my "new" DRL look like lol. Sorry for shitty quality. All I had was my iphone.

And I decided to do reverse cut outs before I take the tint off completely and do red overlays with BMW style reverse. Saw it on a few CBP but no PWP. Not too bad...

Probably won't have any time to install these until Christmas time when I get a break from school. Gives me something to look forward to after I finish Finals though lol....

Starting my eyelid project. Traced out my template from my headlight. Now I gotta design the curved part. Thought I would post the template just in case yall are bored and wanna mess around and share your ideas. Also feel free to save this template for your own use if you wanna do this down the road. (NOTE: There is a slight radius at the top of the headlight lol it's supposed to be like that) Pictured is eyelid from passenger side, just invert and you have driver side.

Lol thanks. No cad, just free hand and careful measurements. On the other hand I'm studying to be a mechanical engineer so I have some experience with cad and some 3d software such as solid works. We get free licenses while we are students at ucf!

I wish it was statistics... it was Statics though. As in the study of Static Forces. IE Bridges, trusses, beams, cantilevers etc....

Haha ok, if more people want eyelids I'll make some red ones too and see what it looks like. You have actually given me an idea lol. I'll incorporate it when I make the red eyelids.

Here are the three designs I came up with
1) This a more sharp and aggressive look

2) This is what most other eye lids look like

3) This one follows the contour of the DRL light.

i tried 1 and it didnt look good. i curved mine to look like 2. 3 you lose the angles and it wont match the rest of the car.

Completely unrelated... I know a lot of people have either been buying/painting their bumper matte black where the reflectors start and down.I really like the contrast and was planning on doing this later down the road. EURONOOBS for example.

Anyways I saw a GTO driving and it gave me the great idea to do a TSX embossed in our bumber just like the GTO. I think itll look boss if I can do it right.

Euronoobs bumper, and most the other bumpers you see with matte black diffusors are the sport ones. So they come matte black from the factory. I've only seen a couple CU2's do the matte black on their regular non-sport bumper. And I am going to say NAY for the TSX etching

Then as soon as brights went off and back to DRL mode they wouldn't come on. I probably tried 10 times before I realized this was an awesome "problem." no more DRL lights and I can leave my switch backs ON and look B.A. with no DRL and just LED lights during the day. Then the next morning they started working again... So all of this coming to a conclusion. I was wondering why this problem might have occurred. ECU hiccup? wiring problem? Heat? Fuse??? Hmmm maybe a fuse? But the brights worked! Maybe there is a separate fuse for DRL and brights?? That doesn't really make sense, but I know some other cars do, so maybe the tsx does!. IFFF we do have serparate fuses for brights and DRL does this mean we can solve our annoying DRL issue while keeping our Brights? IDK anyone wanna enlighten the situation??
When you start the car with the e-brake applied in Park, DRL is disabled.

Well it was in first gear. But maybe it's the same if the e brake is applied in general.
