about $550 for all 4. The rear were a little more expensive, by like $25 or something.

I know it's not flush yet but after a little bending and 3M tape it should mount correctly. If you have a little imagination you can this is going to look pretty good.

Looks pretty lumpy, I predict many hours of sanding in your future. This is a pretty tough project, you just have to take it one step at time.

Yes, it is a little lumpy but that's ok. It just needs to be "about" flat, once you lay the bondo over the glass that's when you get it really smooth. I got a buddy who is really good with fiberglass and bondo. He is gunna help me out. Still needs some work, but this is my update thread so you guys get to see my progress.

That's good you have someone to help who knows what they are doing. If I tried this I'd probably fail miserably, like I did on my clear reflectors.

Type-S lip, I bought it for myself as a birthday present lol... My plan is to get both my lip and roof spoiler paint matched at the same time. It'll give me incentive to finish up my spoiler that way I can get my lip mounted.

Yes, to jeroplex about ebay seller, and yes to whats his name. And to defcon, if everyone else made it fit, i'll make it fit. Didn't you have to do some bending too?!

I haven't even seen it yet, I sent it to my parents house because my apartment complex doesn't handle fragile/expensive/large packages very well. I have been thinking about customizing the the lip as well.

This evo is inspiring

mine wasnt sitting that high off the glass though. i can flex it a little bit just enough to epoxy it to the window permanently.

The lip in the ebay auction looks like the OEM european Type S lip. Dont know the qualitiy and fitment about the one in the auction but the OEm in germany is PERFECT. But does cost 400,- bucks here. i got used one for 125,- + 50,- paintjob. I know one here who is selling his lip already painted in volcano gray NH-637M for 200,-

I wish I could afford the real thing, but I can't drop that much when I can get a replica that looks just about as good.

Defcon- I know it seems like I won't be able to set it flush but I have a method lol. I store it balancing on my bondo can and set my heavy steel toe shoes on either end of the spoiler and it slowly gets shaped to the way I want it hahaha. Plus you don't actually have to apply that much pressure for it to form to the glass, I think 3M can handle it.

Would you be opposed to drilling in the bumper to fit type s rep lip?

hmmmm I didn't realize that it was only on the sides, I might be ok with that lol. I thought I would have to drill through the front but I don't really mind at the wheel well. What are the little tabby things doing at the front of the lip? Just to hold it tight to the bumper?

Hey ed, I can tell you right now some bending will be necessary just because of the way they ship it. They literally wrapped it up in 10,000 small usps boxes. BUTTT the good thing is that it's polyurethane and can easily be shaped correctly. Gotta figure out whether or not I'll be painting it myself or getting it professionally done.

It is to hold the bumper tight. And you have to definitely leave the bumper out in the sun let it bend...It came a little warped..

Come to Chicago and help me clear my headlights. I'm scared shitless of doing it lol. I was glad it was over 100 in Chicago land area for awhile so the type s lip couldn't bend a little
