Spotted your ride at the Walmart on Colonial today. I'm in town for the weekend visiting family.

Alright so the plastic plexiglass material that I bought for my eyelid project is near impossible to work with without a dremel tool (which I don't have) so I put that off and did the red overlays. I forgot how much I hate working with vinyls!!

After I took the tint off.

Everything matches pretty well, in the pictures it looks slightly off but in person you can barely notice at all. BMW style reverse was a success as well. I didn't notice any pink reflecting off of the chrome and everything looks seamless. I'm definitely happy with this $8 mod.

Hey. That looks pretty good. Acura should have done something like for the 2011 facelift. Putting a pink tint on the blinkers and reverse lights was ehh.

Does it look weird when your reverse lights are on? I imagine that the top and bottom of the reverse light window would be red while the bmw slit is clear (normal).

either way props for another awesome diy job.

Yeah Idk what it looks like while in reverse yet lol. I did this alone and haven't have a friend put it in reverse while i take a picture of it yet. But thanks, I think I'm the first to do it. Defcon said he tried and it didn't look right.

Yeah I liked black better too. It will be done in CF vinyl. My idea with the red though was to make a red stripe around the Black grille that would connect the two eyelids. It may look too much like a vw though...

Pink lights are a Japanese thing, it's to make the car appear more feminine. When a car goes from Zenki to Kouki it always gets pink lights for some reason lol. I remember reading that somewhere, it might even have been here.

lol ^^ Yes I can't take credit for this idea, only the motivation to do it. By the way, that shit was hard to cut straight lol, and even harder to cut along a curve. Hope it all looks clean when I mount it.

Happy Thanksgiving to my AZINE family!!!

Fits pretty well, it's not perfect but it definitely came out how I wanted. Really excited that the radius at the top matched up with the headlight. Now I just gotta redo my plastidip, some chrome is showing through and makes it look like my eye-lids are not flush with the grille. Enjoy the pics.

That's where mine started as well and yes I did fix it, permanently now.Idk where the whole idea of splitting the whole headlight open to fix it came from but here is what you need to do. Take both headlights out, completely. Take them inside the house and get your girlfriends hair dryer. I took out my blinker bulb and my DRL bulbs. I left my HIDs in because I figured there was no point in taking them out as well. I turned on the hair dryer and let it run through the blinker side and out the DRL. You can feel a steady stream of air. Did that for about 10 minutes and ensured that all the condensation had been cleared. Bought two tubes of Permatrex Clear RTV Silicone adhesive sealant and sealed up the places where the OEM sealant was sparse. I kinda deserved it, I didn't that great of a job of making sure the headlight was sealed as best as I could. Stuff dries pretty quickly, I reinstalled my headlights within 30 minutes of it drying. Haven't had any problems since.

Glad I did mine myself. The whole reason you take it to a shop is because they know what they are doing. Disappointing when you find out they didn't do it right and won't fix it for you.

Just some useful info... anyone who bought switchbacks and is hyperflashing they are having a sale on the resistor kit you need.

So I found out that the original color of the smiley face part is matte black. Kinda wondering whether or not I should smooth out these ripples and redo the plastidip or get some kinda paint remover and get this chrome paint off to reveal the matte black underneath. what yall think??

I know I'm blowing up my own thread but while I was waiting for my plastidip to dry I wrapped one of my mirrors in CF vinyl. Don't think I'm going to keep it for 2 reasons. 1. My workmanship isn't as good as it should be. and 2. I don't think it looks very good, thought it would compliment my other CF vinyl but it just looks off.

Any other opinions?

Sorry to hear that bro. If you know you did a good seal job and got all of the condensation out when you did it that's not good news. This means the water is getting in another way, most likely through an infinitely small crack on the lens caused by the shop heating it from the outside won't do anything for you unfortunately. However u might be able to take the cap off the drl and blow some warm air through there without taking the headlight out. Also, there is a slight possibility that the actual seal from our bulb isn't as tight as it should be, that would be an easy fix. Good luck

Yeah I think the mirrors are just too big for it to look good. Oh well, I tried. Next project is most likely plastidipping my wheels and lower bumper( possibly embossed tsx, even though people say no I'm a motherfuckingacurapioneer) we can make a new club defcon since eds cu2crew are dicks and won't share the love.

So here are some "better" pictures of my LED DRL. I expected my photos to come out like the "glamour shots" from Audi headlights but overall failed. Here is what I captured. I took these right at dusk.

With Flash (stupid reflection, only LEDs are on)

No Flash

If anyone has advice on capturing how the headlights really look let me know. I got a semi pro camera, still trying to figure out all of the configurations.

Here is the video walk around (720p like a BOSS) of what ALL WHITE looks like. Also showed turn signals with the red overlays, does not look amber at all. Looks naturally RED and SEXY. Sorry no video of what BMW style reverse looks like yet, I was alone when I filmed this.
