wouldn't you want the 3.6 cause it's smaller? and if i were to purchase my flashpro at the same time, how well does their flash they provide work? will it run the car? also....i don't like the new Heeltoeauto website design.... i liked the old one better..... seems like the new one dosent work as well.... also, if the authentic mugen visors are discontinued....why are they listed on the site? k thanks...(that was a rhetorical question) rant over..

Ideally yes, you would want the 3.6 but if they only have the 3.8, that's ok too. It's not a huge difference in boost.
The basemap that they offer is just a way to get your car started and Driveable. A tune will be highly recommended for many reasons.
I agree with the new website. The old one was easier on the eyes and easier to search for things. Change is not always good as I say.

Yeah no more mugen visors for the 2nd gens

I have tried several companies and I don't know why they don't take them all down.

Would you guys take some pics of them on your car ? How is the quality ? They don't say mugen on them do they ?

I would like to get a set as well because the OEM style I have are pretty beat up and I was trying to get real ones and had even paid for some but months later I was told no one could get them and I was refunded my money.

Oh and I don't want them to say mugen on them unless they are the real deal but since they are not I don't want them to have it on them.

Whats the function in having these? My ek9 has them from factory and I never seen the use for them. Unless I was a smoker or if my AC was broken and I had to drive in summer rain.
Looks?

Looks for one and the other is so you can have your window cracked when it's raining and it keeps the rain out of your car. At least that why I like them.

I'm probably the only one, but I find the car looks a lot cleaner without these visors But yeah it would be nice to crack the window open a bit during rain or on the freeway without experiencing too much aero drag.

You're not the only. I think the cu2 looks cleaner with out them. However, I saw a set on eBay that looked simple and close to the glass with chrome trim that looked oem.

We had some really really disheartening news at work, and it looks like they have gotten rid of our Honda parts discount

I'm really sad about it... I don't think I'll be buying the modulo front. I can't justify spending $800 when I know the car is nearing "end of life" with me as an owner.

Unless work changes the policy, I don't see it in my cards anymore

I think that cuz our car is pretty much EOL, some dealerships should be offering the modulo front for a discount. Might still be more than your discount, but something to think about!

But yeah negative company news sucks I know the feels

OMG it sounds 1000X better with the resonator. Absolutely no rasp, no drone.. very stock sound until the SC whine comes in.... WHHHHHHHHHIIIIIIIIIIIII

Throw on your stock wheels and your car will be a real sleeper! haha

I like how you have a stage 2 SC setup, yet you have, for the most part, an OEM catback exhaust.

lol yeah... well.. I've always felt like exhaust changes were for sound rather than performance. I've deleted all of my cats, and no one makes a full 3" exhaust system. Just figured it wouldn't be worth it until something legit has been released.

Ill see if I can grab some video with the new and improved (non ricey) sound of my car now haha.

Where did you get the resinator from ? How much was everything ? I am sure you know I have a horrible raspy sound that just sound like crap. I have the same setup as you with a stock cat back.

Thanks

I sourced everything from heeltoe a year ago, it just took a long time for me to finally install the resonator. Anyways, I got the 14" ultra quiet resonator (2.5" dia). They are everywhere, I think I got mine for like ~$70. Then my friend met a small town mechanic, whom also rebuilds subarus... he offered to weld it up for me at $60. Pretty damn good deal. The weld is less than pretty, but we checked for exhaust leak, and also painted the welds for no rust. Definitely worth it! The only other shop that was willing to do it quoted me $200, then stopped responding to my emails...

You're right all the aftermarket catbacks are not going to see much perf gains, if any. They all pretty much keep the stock diameter, and maybe, just maybe, retain the same diameter after the Y-split as well. They do look pretty and subjectively sound better.

K-Tuned has a 3" exhaust for the Si, but I suppose that's not going to fit on our cars.

I was told by Vit that he could probably get another 10whp if I got ride of the stock cat back.

Probably true, I wonder if intake has an affect on our setup as well. I think maybe no, unless you upgrade TB at the same time. I guess those are all pretty easy to do. But another $500 for 15whp lol

That's a tough question ahaha.. but I would say yes. It's definitely turned me on to performance based cars. And it was kinda cool to see how excited everyone else got about my build

And I was right at 100K miles on my original clutch when I installed the supercharger. Even with stage 1 Supercharged and 100k miles it was holding! Before I went stage 2 supercharged I upgraded to a "stage 2" SPEC clutch and it's good to 296N`m (Im only doing 262). It's been awesome ever since, amazingly the clutch feel is lighter than OEM. I really like it. Also, I guess I never really updated.. the resistance when shifting at really high RPM went away after changing the clutch out.

I didn't do a dyno on the stage 1, but there are multiple people including @iselfdevi and @obert who are tuning/finished tuning on the stage 1 setup. They are doing around 250whp. Honestly the stage 1 kit was really straight forward (fairly easy to install, with only1 problem: the support bolt for the manifold wasn't long enough.), and the CTE tune (available on FP manager) allows you to drive it on day 1. While really rich, it's a safe tune, and probably gains 30-40whp right off the bat. Really fun, and the sound is just addicting!
