Both teams are going to have a different look tomorrow, plus, it's not easy to beat a team twice in 4 weeks. Don't be too confident Dan..
Good Luck tomorrow!

Replacement was a rookie but he has since stepped up and is turning into a phenom. The "lightning" in our Thunder and Lightning running game was out (Amad Bradshaw) and we only had Brandon Jacobs in the back field.

The Giants are going to find out (again) that the Pats aren't the Cowboys or the Packers. They're pretty cocky for a team that made the Super Bowl by virtue of a gift INT from Brett Favre. The Giants played (for them) a perfect game in week 17, at home, and still lost. On a neutral field, against the best offense in the NFL, I don't see them winning. They gave up 38 points to this team a month ago. The NYG defense hasn't exactly morphed into the 86 Bears since then. I don't see Eli and a hobbled Burress outscoring the Pats either. Get ready for the "Eli Manning Face" after he throws 2 or 3 picks tomorrow.

It looks like the web cams for the Chicago Auto Show have been disabled for live feed. I only see still shots now, 2 days old.
I assume they are rolling in the car models now.
I wonder if they pay those roadies enough as to not have any photos leaked!

Bradshaw was pretty much an afterthought earlier in the season - all of the sudden he's the 2nd coming of Barry Sanders. If this team wasn't from NY, then no one would be picking them. The media are falling all over themselves to pick the NYG because "they're on a roll." Never thought I'd see the day when a 10-6 team from a weak conference would be favored by anyone over an 18-0 team. Just shows the blind spot that the sports media has for anything from NY.

I cannot wait. Interesting to see that they're the second debut, right after General Motors.
This better be good.

That tied the Yankees (losing ALCS after being up 3-0) for the biggest choke in sports history.
Not taking anything away from the Giants, they just wanted it more.

Not a bad-looking car!
Available 375hp V-8, heated and cooled seats, nav, BT, parking sensors, articulating xenons, intelligent cruise, power tilt and telescoping heated steering wheel, you name it, and all for less than $40k. Wow.

... and although it looks like a big G35 from the side, kind of like an RL from the front (3/4 headlight view), and old Infiniti I35+current BMW 5-series from the rear, it all kind of comes together.
Those Koreans sure can steal (plagiarize) design cues, can't they?
At least it's not the Kia that looks like a bad Jaguar and drives like a 1980s Buick...

The price definitely is what gets your attention. However, I'll reserve being amazed until I can touch and feel it. Could be somewhat of an illusion. Once you sit in it and drive it, it may not be as impressive. I don't know that for sure. I'm just saying.

Things must be really slow at the TOV as they accidentally recycled a picture that originated on THEIR forum back in December.
A glimpse at the '09 RL refresh
That Hyundai looks good! 375 hp V8, huh?

I was never sure if it was a 10 FMC or an 11 FMC available in 10. Does anyone know? That would give the 09 MMC some legs, that is at least two production runs, after all the apparent effort.
#989
Go Big Blue!
I'm not sure that was ever clarified. in fact, I'm not sure the FMC in '10 was ever officially stated. It might still fall into the category of a rumor.
Personally, I've been assuming it meant module year 11 in calendar year 2010. Only because it makes more sense.

You're right about the football. But I just can't let it go yet. I find myself watching Sportscenter at every chance. I don't know why I bother, they just keep showing that helmet catch by David Tyree over and over. I'm a Giants fan, and that was a great catch that will go down as a top ten SB play, but enough already. I think they should use that footage for a super glue commercial

But at least your willing to admit you have a problem, that's the first step to recovery (of your money by Acura).

*sigh*
I am kinda dreading tomorrow as a lot of people really seem to have their hopes up but since it is just a MMC, I fear there are gonna be a lot of let down people on the net. The last Accord refresh w/ the LEDs was pretty extensive & it did improve the looks IMHO but it was not enough to really increase sales or draw any more interest. I predict tomorrow may add some flash but very little substance, therefore, nothing will change until 2010(?).

I've never followed a model makeover with such interest. A testament to the quality of this forum, I must say. And the fact my '06 RL is the first new car I've bought for myself.
I want to like the car for the sake of Acura. And I'm kind of apprehensive for the sake of my wallet. There'll be a lot to pick apart, and a lot to like I'm sure.
Between the new TL, the new TSX, and this RL, Acura should have a lineup to crow about.
Go Acura!

lots of anticipation.. feel almost like Christmas Eve... LOL!
The current gen RL is almost perfect IMHO (size, value, ergonomics, etc..), cant imagine how much better it can get. I hope they put a Memory Card reader in the audio system like in the new CR-V.

Almost impossible to believe Honda won't ride the MMC for at least two production years, so don't look for a FMC until the 2011 model (debuting in the Fall of 2010). They simply have to amortize their tooling costs over at least a two-year run.
The area where Acura can really shine is in the technology arena, where they scored big with the current-gen RL. And since Colliver is hinting at new strides in the tech department, we techies should be happy when the curtain goes up tomorrow.
But please, God, don't let them mimic the Accord rear-end treatment on the RL. The back end of the new Accord is just soooo frumpy-dumpy looking, like something made of wax that got a little too warm and sagged in the middle. Ditto for the overly-busy front end, with too many dischordant shapes all competing with each other.
I saw a comment from a reader in one of the car rags that compared the Accord to a turducken (you know - that dish where a chicken is stuffed into a duck, which is then stuffed into a turkey and the whole thing cooked). The point being that the Accord is a mixture of different styling elements, and they just don't go together.
So - please, Acura .... no turducken RL. Please.

I am also surprised I am following this with such interest. I'm supposed to be drooling over the CTS-V, after all. I just want the RL to be a winner at long last.
