Scott you gotta set a date so any slackers who are sitting on the fence will get it. I suggest the end of the week as a deadline.

End of the week...how about the end of Feb...just saying because at the rate were going at the end of Feb we will hopefully have like 35 definites. It really doesn't matter to me when it ends but like i said before...we waited a shit long time for this to even happen...whats another two weeks that'll save us money

By the way...did anyone get thru to Sonar Kid. I'm also trying to convince GA2000. And Vinarnold wants in for the 04TL...whenever it's available

1) Do we even know how much more of a price break we are gonna get with 10-15 more people over the original 20?

2) I would expect that alot of people would jump on this if they knew they had to make a decision soon.

Well lets find out the price breaks first before we move any further. To be honest not many people have jumped on this.. It's mainly the people that were maybes that have switched over.. I just went through and contacted the maybes to see their status.

Just got off the phone with Jack. He is waiting to hear back from engineering dept on cost break down for our PnP harness, and Main Unit. I have confirmed with him on 20, and maybe more.

So what he told me is that, he will send me an email, with the cost of the unit and 20, 30, and 40 people. But for sure he said there will be a price break.

I will post his email as soon as I get it. I might not be until sometime tomorrow.

Anxious to hear what the breaks are...

At the rate we're going though I don't think it's possible to hit 40..

I am willing to become "DEFINITE" if price is going to be less than $650. Also, anyone know how they are going to tune our cars after we install this mod? Will we have to take it somewhere. Details please!!! I want to make a decision!

It comes pre-tuned for I/H/E.. Otherwise if something comes up you can send it to them or visit one of their dealers.

No need to get it tuned...it's allready tuned to our cars. Even w/ just an intake u'll still see gains. Just not as big gains as u would see if u had headers. But as far as the chip u won't have to take it anywhere. You'll even be able to install it urself w/ really no tools involved. So all ur gonna be paying is for the chip. And then later down in the future when u get headers...this chip will work even more and the gains from the headers will be phenomenal!!!

Yes u can...the gains won't be 10-15WHP...more like 5-10WHP. But when u do other mods it will help out even better. See the uni-chip alters the factory set fuel curve to our advantage by leaning out the fuel where we need it. It'll still work but the more mods u have the more it will help. The reason I recommend u act now on this group buy is because who knows what the price is gonna be aftere the group buy is done. Also we don't even know if the P+P harness will be available after the group buy which means you will have to pay someone to hardwire it to ur factory ecu wires.

Thanks for the answers. A couple more Q's though. How would this affect gas mileage? What cost are we looking at now, including the shipping?

I beleive CLS2001 said he didn't notice any difference in gas mileage. Cost- we are waiting to get the details from UniChip, hopefully around $700-650. Shipping shouldn't be more then a few bucks.. It's a small chip.

I think, judging by the amount of views this thread has received that if we get it in the $650 range that more people will jump on. I think there are atleast a few waiting to see the cost.

Compare to what? A $400-600 exhaust that nets you 1-2HP?

Or $1K for 30 peak hp?

These are all still great mods.. but please take the time to read a little more about this chip before you make those comments.

CT exhaust = 600$ = 2hp max.

Headers = 1200$ = 30HP

I think your missing the point here. Yes, its 15hp gain, but have you looked at the dyno charts? this isnt 15hp gain at 6000++ RPM, its 10-15 HP gain across nearly the WHOLE RPM band. I think the gains start at 2000 RPM and steadily stay an extra 10-15 HP OVER the stock HP curve straight to redline. That means more hp\torque off the line, more to get you moving in the midrange, and then MORE in VTEC at the top end.

I'm Sold

Once you get the basic I/H/E/P on, mods for the CL become hard to find...

BC...Keep in mind that it across the whole powerband...As opposed to headers which do give you some nice power, but not equaly throughout the power band...as mentioned, that is a PEAK number

Edit - And more power and special developement like this costs money...You either play or dont...simple

Yeah man..go on comptechs websitem and look at the dyno for the headers...they only give like 1-3HP until about 5000rpm and only climb to over 10hp til after 6000rpm. the only other mod that compares to this is the crank pulley which will only give about 6-10WHP throughout the entire rpm band.

Don't mean to change subject but Ant is there actually any dyno evidence of the crank pulley? I don't think I've ever found any.
