Funny like a clown? At least you could use Acura's brochures to promote your ride...

Id love to get in on this group buy, but dont you think 700-750 is a bit much for this unit? If the price was dropped, I may be in. Come on people, if we get more recruits , then the price may drop.

Plug and Play. You plug it in, and start playing. No need to get it installed or have it retuned (unless you want to)

Price will be $700-$750. Depend on if we can get more than 20 people.

Think of it this way.. the chip changes the A/F and timing, so the gains are more represented in a percentage factor rather then just pure 10-15HP. Therefore, if you have more mods, or bigger displacement (typeR), the percentage gained is about the same, but you will yield more HP/TQ from the Chip.

That is unless you have some kind of FI, then a new map will be needed.

I believe Mattg will be bring his car in for those who runs NOS for their CLS.

Is that calculated from HP gained or Percentage gain??

But it is very funny.. since now you have the power at the wheels the same as stock crank HP.

There are gains at every RPM. With headers , your gains are only at the very top. The Unichip is a much better value then headers from that stand point.

I guess the price factor will be relative for different people. Consider this. $700 for CT exhaust for 1-2HP, $1000 for CT header which give you almost 30 Peak HP, but only about 3-5 through the band. Then there is UniChip which gives you 10-15 through the entire power band.

IMO, this is a good mod that will get the most out of your other mods. Call it a enhancement to your previous investment.

Now if we could get some "yes" we'd be good to go? Out of curiousity why are some "maybe?" Cost, etc...

Was there ever a map made for and FI car. Specifically the CT SC. I know people with SC like myself have following the e-manage thread but I wonder what kind of result would be achieved with the chip.

Also the level of involvement and tunning with the e-manage is more for people that know exactly what they are doing. I prefer a plug and play and forget about tunning approach.

Also it would be cool if potential buyers could mathematically figure out what their gains would be with each individual mod configuration. I.E. i/h/chip, or i/e/chip, or pulleys/h/chip etc. etc. etc. If we had an idea what the general percentage the chip will increase hp/tq then we can figure it out for ourselves. Just a suggestion.

i am IN.

lets get this going guys. we've been waiting for this for a long time and now we have a chance to make it a reality. finally, a PNP piggyback chip w/ solid, documented gains.

i have seen what it can do in person. i won't even get in to how badly i raped Brian at the white city drags... but when we raced again after he had the chip installed he was able to hang right with me. we both have i/h/e, but i have the full UR pulley set, cat back exhaust, and super light 18" wheels compared to his not so light 19's.

this is the real deal.

I believe most would order it for the basic mods of I/H/E since most people have or will have the mods soon.

Contact/PM Scalbert for these questions since he has done most research on both options.

1) We need to get Atleast 20 people first and foremost. Then organizing everything and then have UniChip produce the harnesses. ETA earliest month latest prob 3 months.
2) Not sure how CLS2001 wants to handle all the money yet
3) I honestly don't have a answer 100% on that one
4) Once we get further along we will be able to determine that

Guys, please remember the price is around $750-700 w/ PnP harness and the more people we can get the better the bargaining power we have to hopefully negotiate a better price.

ahhhh I want to be in on this .. if I hadn't spent like 3800$ like 3 weeks ago on valentine 1, rims&tires, sways, icebox, brakelines, and exhaust I'd be ALL over this .. I might be a late entry if I can save up the money by the time you guys do it. I don't want to get in though and not have enough cash by the time we have to pay up.
