What did you do to your CL today?

Not trying to start a debate, but you are wrong. It has been dyno proven that anything more than 87 in the j30a1 results in less performance and worse gas mileage. Would love to post the whole article but it's afrom a different forum so i'll post the important part of the article. You can also search for it.
By today's standards, the J30A1 runs a relatively low 9.4:1 CR (compression ratio) which decreases its need for octane. 10.0:1 would be considered medium, and 10.5:1 or above would be pretty high for a production general consumer market engine. Typically a 10.0:1 CR is the crossover point on whether an engine will need higher octane fuel or not. A conservatively tuned engine with a 10.0:1 CR can do fine with 87 octane, but one with more advanced tuning will need premium. Due to the J30A1's low compression ratio and also its conservative state of tune (both ignition timing and air-fuel ratio), it performs the best on 87 octane fuel. Anything more will actually DEGRADE performance, not improve it. This was proven by a chassis dyno test on a J30A1 powered Accord by Car & Driver magainze in November 2001, and also proven at the track by previous G6 Accord V6 owners - they ran a few tenths slower

For arguments sake i owned a car what wouldnt pass inspection because i would fill 93 octane. Story short 87 octane fuel car passed.

Pulled my airbag out the pass.side dash CArefully. Gonna try to seperAte the cover from the actual airbag so I can put just the cover back in the dash. Shave a couple pounds. Also ordered my fuel line, filter, black braided line and all the fittings to go from factory fuel line (down low on firewall) to fuel rail. When they come in I will add them to the box of new parts sitting here for the NEW motor.

Repainted my wiper blades in satin black and added some foglights:
Next up: Clear corners, '97 grille (if I can find one), a bumper re-spray, and get my 17" OZ Superleggera's refinished and back on the car.

Some random idiot while driving home in a H3 asked me if I wanted to sell my stock rims to him. I told him no, then starting following me. It's been awhile that I had floored the CL. Good to know my v-tec still works

Attempted to change my right rear lower control arms and pretty much in a nutshell I failed! I got the longer one replaced pretty easy but when I got to the toe arm is where the fun began! I spent at least 2 hours attempting to get that stupid adjusting bolt out and finally gave up and put everything back together. Gonna go to my buddies shop monday with the new adjusting bolt ($19 cuz I demolished the current one during this lol) from Honda and have him handle it! What a nightmare!

My battery connector became too distressed to tighten anymore and was loose enough to pull off by hand. Switched that out with one from autozone and changed the air filter.

Friday night I replaced my optima yellow top with a new one, then reconnected all the wires in my digital battery terminal. Then replaced all my retrofit wiring with new wiring harnesses from TRS. Had to get rid of the old light bulb/silicone hack job from years back. Acura is officially back on the road

i like acura
parked on uneven ground with a full trunk. took a pic. i just wish my fronts would go lower so i could drop them down and ride with it like this, even tho its very close as she sits. my rim almost kisses my fender once my big ass gets in haha. im looking into having a number of threads cut out of my struts, to allow them more room to screw into the bottom mount more than now... basically making it able to go lower. ive just hit the bottom of the strut housing with the top part that screws into the housing. so basically i want to shorten it, to give more room. there is more room for the spring to go lower. but i cant get it to go lower and keep the pre load on the spring. anyways opinions on this are very welcome. im lookin for someone with higher knowledge for an opinion. heres the pic

damn spencer, thats good stuff.
moved back to NJ last month since graduating college, got myself a real job in NJ. commuting 120 miles a day from south jersey to north jersey, and enjoying my sweet gas mileage from all the turnpike driving (avg ~34 mpg).
so with all the big boy $$ that i'm barely making, i might finally start doing stuff to my car.

Gonna spend some time in the garage tonight tinting my buddy's tail lights for his charger, figure I'll finally tint the 3rd brake light on my wing while I'm at it to match my tinted tails, also need to strap the new battery down with my comptech tie down and tie up a few loose ends and install the new sub amp that I picked up a few months back, then she will be fully road ready. Have a big couple weeks planned for the CL, going to get an estimate for my exhaust install tomorrow, changing the oil, and hopefully next week or the week after I'm gonna get an alignment and rotate the 18's since they've been on the same axles for 2 years. Then I'm gonna drive the shit out of her all summer.
Things on the list:
Tint 3rd BL
Little shit
Exhaust install
Alignment and tire rotation
Some other stuff...

Also while I'm here, Got my Tanabe strut bar and front lower Suspension Techniques stabilizer bar from GMSRON here on the forums! Thanks by the way lol! Put the Tanabe bar on and it felt better for sure. Gonna put the ST bar on this week when I do my Legend caliper swap. Here's the link as he still has more for sale and there are pics!

Here's a before of the stock muffler (yes I know the lip is coming apart, waiting to get the muffler on before I mold it and make it 1 piece)
Here's the SSAutoChrome ceramic headers coming down, the guy had to modify the cross-member for the headers to clear, also painted the cross-member black for me
Here's the Catco high-flow cat welded behind the flexpipe on the headers, also had a custom O2 sensor bung welded after the cat.
Here's the Magnaflow 25" resonator with custom hangers and 2.5" piping all the way back
Here's the 2.5" piping bent and routed from the resonator to the muffler
And the muffler, the guy who did my install was even nice enough to trim my WW rear lip for me, as well as make custom hangers for it as well.
I haven't heard the exhaust yet, but my buddy said it sounds amazing. I am hoping that it's throaty without being raspy at all, hence the resonator. I will post my impressions after I pick her up and let her loose on the highway.

Wow....
Good LORD! It's pretty! What do you do for a living so that you can afford such enhancements? It's not in chemistry clearly....LOL
I'm jealous...
I pulled the fuse for the dastardly headlight, and it was blown which then lead me to think, "YAY! It's not something requiring me to disassemble the front end!!"..... The headlight still is dead; the new fuse didn't blow at least. That saves me a few cents...woo hoo.
