Actually that isn't the Mugen Lip I realized this morning, this is:

The other one is a P1 lip or something. I was thinking of painting my winters (stockers) orange or neon green this winter haha. Well see how the bronze summers look with a drop this year, as I haven't seen many SSM RSX's with that combo. I'm still on the Fence cause I love the A Spec, but the Mugen one has grown on me. Everyone I know thinks the A Spec looks better.

Edit: But I do want that hood from the silver one. Max racing or whatever, looks pretty badass!

I've funnelled that money into the 240, its getting a new front end, engine and repaint, kinda limits me from buying new badass wheels. The fronts need at least a 15mm spacer to fit nicely, they dont clear the brakes as it is. Rears need a 20mm to fit flush. I'm def buying them this time around haha.

@Jordan - I like the Mugen lip better but I'm a Mugen whore lol. If the top right part of the lip around the foglights area on the A-Spec was smoother it would look better IMO.

Haha damn. The votes split right down the middle on the lip. Well see in a few months what I can score for what prices.

Anywhoo, I bombed down to C-Town today and picked up a set of brand new, never used Tein S.Tech springs for $100!! As a bonus I snatched up a 5Zigen Fireball Axle back exhaust. Its actually a very subtle sound, added a nice deep tone that doesn't get obnoxiously loud and ricey. It even shuts up when your cruising and burbles and pops when you let off the loud pedal!

All and all, a pretty successful day and the highway run really helped clean out some of that carbon build up from winter so far. I want spring now so I can see what the drop looks like with the 18s!

@Jordan - Nice pick ups! 5Zigen makes awesome exhausts. Quiet and they sound nice, not ricey at all. I love my 5Zigen exhaust haha

Out of randomness, Is springs worth it or is it better to go coils?

After DD'ing a car with coils, my already shot back was killing me which is why I'm just doing springs. Speaking of which....

Started out just figuring out some electrical gremlins... next thing you know I'm starting to rip off engine bits, then wheels & bumpers, then suspension.... Its gonna be an interesting week lol.

I've been DD'ing my car with coils since the summer. Ride comfort is less than optimal for the winter since I'm at the maxed out height, but in the summer it's much better. I have a feeling if I don't do max height next winter it won't be as rough since there will be less spring travel when I hit our massive pot holes/random mini bridges on the road.

I DD with Tein coils, ride isn't too harsh with 10/6 spring rates, feels like stock but much better in terms of comfort imo. I only raised the front coils a tad for winter.

If anyone knows someone with a base 2002-04 RSX that wants my Tein springs, lmk. Turns out the ones I bought are for those years and dont fit my '05.

Bought some H&R Sports today instead. Car isn't leaving the garage without a drop! Gotta do some mechanical work too now though. Oh the joys of modding lol.

anybody have an idea where i can get a hands free module for my TL.
Apparently it is a pretty common thing for them to burn out.
also, still looking for a front bumper.
Any help?

Try Honda Toy, or Black Gold near Nisku. Other then that to get a TL bumper, you'd best find something from a dealer or online?

If you're looking for a new OEM bumper order from Curry Acura in the states. $240 for a new TL-S front bumper shipped to my door, they pay the taxes and duties for you too. Got here in 5 business days.

Driving to work today, just as I decided to pass a sanding truck, the truck driver decided to open his chute. Had to swerve as sand and rocks cascaded over my hood and windshield. As I passed, I rolled down my window and gave him a one-finger wave…at which point he decided to put on his overhead flashing lights.

Haven’t surveyed the extent of the damage yet. Sometimes I really hate this effing city.

Yikes that's brutal. I wish there was as many sanding trucks out as pot hole repair crew. It's a roller coaster going down certain roads.

That happened to me once on a drive home from school, driver decides to open the chute for no apparent reason on a road with absolutely no ice. I had 3M paint protection thing on so damage wasnt as bad, but lower bumper an all over the car was covered. I feel your pain my friend, some drivers are just mean. :P.

That sucks, but makes me glad my cars been in the garage lately and I've been driving the truck... until I have to fill it up with gas every 300Km haha. I got my H&R's this Monday and ran into an issue with a seized bolt on the left rear strut. Pieced the rest of the car together and drove it to my friends shop to get that fixed.

Buuuuuut here's a teaser;

Sits much lower, can't wait 'till the other spring is installed and the suspension levels itself out. For now it makes me much happier stance wise, and the ride isn't even that bad!

like $220 per side or something ridiculous, i would just change the glass like Vince, but the inside of my housing is all messed cause i drove with a hole in the glass for 2 winters.

@Silence - Looks good! I'm not sure if it's the angle of the shot but it looks like there is still around 2 inches of gap. How much wheel gap does it have stock?

@Tai - Lol has anyone done a DIY to refinish the housing? Sanjay got replacements but they're yellow. Not sure where he got them or if you can get them clear.

I got the exact same replacements offa e-bay but with yellow lenses, I wouldn't recommend them. Two weeks into owning them, the metal sheild on the inside got super hot from the heat of the bulb and melted off the plastic housing. If that makes sense.

The OEM fogs are stupid expensive for the 4G as well. About 7 months ago, I replaced the passenger fog, and managed to get a deal on a pair from another A-ziner (thinking at least I'd have a replacement for the driver's side if I ever crack that lens).

Yesterday, I noticed a brand new cracked lens...sadly, passenger side again. Still got my spare driver side.

Vince...if you can figure out a good way to cut and curve lexan to suit the 4G, you might make seom money from the A-ziner crowd.

Wuddup fellow Edmontonians, picked up a brand new white 2.4 dynamic in November.Former Honda Owner, First Acura!

I recently purchased a new condo and as such in the process to sell my current summer car and year round car as in having a two cars while living in a condo isn't financially friendly unless you're willing to spend an extra $15000 for a parking stall which isn't worth the price in my opinion just for me to have two cars.

My only dislikes on the car and yes I'm just being picky.
- Lack of head room compared to the civic, I'm 5'10 and would of enjoyed a little more space. My mom has a 2010 civic and there is much more interior room it seems.
- I love the rear-view dimming mirror, but why didn't they do this for the side mirrors as well?
- Bluetooth paring isn't the greatest and I don't like how you have to save the number in the car for voice command to work. Text function doesn't work with a lot of phones (At least not my Galaxy Nexus)... its 2013!!!! ...not 2006...
- Suspension is a little too soft, but I actually don't oppose this 100%... Now that I'm not a boy racer anymore it's nice to have a smooth ride, however I do wish it was more predictable in the corners.
-wish it has 60/40 folding seats in the rear

Otherwise, the car is good! Great sound! I've came from cars in the past that were quite modified and I was worried I wouldn't have as much fun in an ILX as I would with my previous s2000 or my turbo'd honda fit but so far its been great!

My plans for this car will be pretty basic I believe, (or so I say haha)
-OEM lip kit
-18 inch Volk RE30's
-Suspension set up (TBA)

Anyways just wanted to say hi!

here are some former pics of my older hondas!

Cheers

Simon

sigh, i guess i'll save up for one side than, and then replace the glass like Vince.

@Simon

15k for a parking stall? geeezz...
atleast you have folding seats! dam TL haha
I see you were looking around for a OEM lip kit from Tim, but he says they dont ship outside US anymore? Try AckTL05 for one, His price at first is higher than Tims but after shipping, he's ALOT cheaper.
I can only see your s2k out of all your pics but damm its nice

anyways, welcome to the forums & hope too see you at some meets when we rarely do them haha
