Well, I am one step closer to A-Spec, and will probably be able to get it soon. I sold my rims today 1 hour my posting went up for only 30 bucks less then asking. I was very happy. Now I need roughly 400 more dollars and I'll be able to get it. So excited! Ethan will you help me install it once it comes in?

I'm pretty sure I'm the most incompetent person ever, but can anyone send me the links for the A-Spec kit on ebay that is a good deal, I have heard talk about it on the site before, but I just can't find it. So any links?

The only guy i know is a friend of mine that works up at Discount Tire.

He sends my wheels off when they get bent.

Unfortunately with my multiple sports and school, there really is no time for a job. But I am most likely going to have one by June. It would be nice to get A-Spec sooner though...

Cool, hopefully RICK shows up! Lol. Ethan I need your opinion...I have 520 bucks, should I buy a radar detector now and continue saving for A-Spec, or save for A-Spec then save up for a radar detector, a radar detector would be REALLY useful...but A-Spec will be hard to save up to...

Buy a radar. Will do more for you than the A-Spec ever will.

Tough decision but honestly, I would go with the A-Spec kit.

The kit makes the car look sportier and sexier and radar detector... well we all know what that helps with.

But do radar detectors help against the laser guns? As far as I know, no.
If a cop is using a radar gun then yea your radar detector will help and could save you from a ticket, but what if they are using a laser gun? The second your detector goes off you are shit outta luck and he's already got you. My first laser gun experience was 7 years ago (a friend was actually driving) and 7 years later I'm sure there are a lot more laser guns out there nowadays.

Depends. Higher dollar systems have a system for laser...but still common sense is your best bet to get out of any ticket.

I hear nothing but good things about the Valentine One detectors. I've never owned one so i cant speak on any personal experience, but I've had a few cheap ones and those are just garbage... The V1 is pretty pricey, but i guess you get what you pay for.

But i'm with Ethan on this, your gonna regret not getting the kit!

FWIW, 7 years ago when my buddy got the ticket and detected the laser, we were driving with an Escort Passport. But then again, I'm sure there have been some advances in those 7 years since :sarcastic:

But yea everyone will either say Valentine 1 or the Passport is the best detector....

V1 has saved me many times the cost of the detector in tickets

Well, I have already ordered the radar detector, and the seller is questionable, so I cancelled the order. I really want both items, but right now a radar detector makes more sense in my eyes. The kit can wait til this summer when it is a sure bet. But I have cancelled the order and am going to do some thinking.

Bad things happen in 3's i guess. i swear, i have the worst luck on the planet!

Fuckin 3rd ticket in 4 months! I deferred adjudication on the first, defensive driving on the 2nd and got my 3rd about an hour ago! Crazy thing is i JUST came back from grapevine district court dropping off my defensive driving certificate! As luck would have it, I got pulled over on my way back for accidentally going straight on a right turn only lane.

the first 2 were speeding violations, but im not exactly sure what this last one is classified as??

i was hoping the cop would give me break but thats asking for too much right!??! Dont know what my options are other then paying the ticket. Technically im still in my "probation" period for the 1st offence that took place in december. Gotta call the court tomorrow and see what im up against...

and before all this bullshit, the last time i got a ticket was back in 1996!

Woa! Whose sexy TL is that in the background? JKJK, the Lotus looks nice. Like 2 minutes after you left, 2 lotus's came and parked on either side of me. One next to the R8 of course.

RKC has listed that its 2010 location will be north with access to the Dallas Tollway & GWB, starting on 3-22-10.

They claim they want to attract exotic owners & what not, & believe that if you like C&C, you'll love their meet. Big claim, obviously.

Anyways, I'll check it out, but $20 says after March, it won't be as good as the hype believes.

For the speeding tickets...get a radar. V1 or 9500IX
Beltronics are not too bad either.

I have the 8500 x50 and its decent, but I have it paired with a blinder laser jammer.

The jammer actually saved me the other day on 121 going about 85 in a 70.

Meet will be held at Rock-N-Rogers in Plano, 3 miles south of Classic. Should be a good location.

That was them trying to ride on c&c's coattails. This being their actual meet shouldn't be too bad. But its better to go now bc the complaints will start coming in weeks from now.

I have an 8500...Its just sitting in my glove compartment. My cable for the radar shorted out but the radar still works. I am probably gonna get rid of it. I haven't driven with the radar for quite a while the only time I drove it was the first few months of owning the car.
