was it a charity run? i've been thinking about doing that lately. i've done it in my '96 Impala SS and had a blast.

I hit like 110 comin back from Carbondale, IL lol. Averaged around 380 per tank haha (12.8 gallons filled) not bad for what it was I just filled it everytime the gas light comes on. People say there are 3 gallons but I didnt feel liek testing it...Oh yea and I got cought in an inland hurricane haha I didnt know such things existed...good part is that the TL made it in one piece. Might be some hail damage from the night before but I got it in the shell right before the big stuff came in....Just a picture or 2 just to show you what was happenin lol.
Right after the storm...thankfully moved the car the tree started dismantling itself after I moved it...103-110 mph winds are NOT fun.

Cool but the Thursday thing is free. I prob will try to get there early along with my friends to get a few runs in. Free trackdays are where its at. I will prob run my car but I dont expect great results with the 19s definitely need another substitute might throw on my friends 17s.

I dont think you will need a helmet unless you break 13s as I recall. Its just normal tech make sure everything in check..you know the normal when you go to a track. They just make sure stuff isnt leaking and so on.

hey ya'll. fiona still grounded with a bad transmission. shopping for deals. $5500 at mcchurchill...$2800 independent rebuild with a 3 year/36k warranty. i'm driving around in a 2003 saab 93 2.0turbo haha. it gives new meaning to slow but it doesn't look half-bad. anyone have any ideas where i can get my transmission for cheaper? ethan? feel like a quick rebuild in your garage in the spare time?

Yea seems like it might have some bad weather tomorrow but we will see. If not I will be out there. They dont check your oil level lol they just make sure its not leaking from the bottom. The tech is basic mostly they will prob just let you run your car since it is a luxury car kinda lol. Anyway just top off your oil with how much it is...I know I need to do an oil change prob gonna do it tomorrow.

Think I'll pass on Dallas Raceway. It is a new track, and there's not going to be any traction on the new pavement. Plus, could be a ricer haven considering its free all day.

They started limiting passes to 1/8 mile but I didnt hear of a crash. The tables at the end werent illuminating anyway when we got there. The street car class took forever but they allowed you to run with street tire...My friends got into tech in no time lol you just fill out the tech card and they gave you a number hahaha. But yea we only got one run in through the night but the track itself looks nice and IT IS closer lol. Took us about 30 min to get there and 10min to get back haha doing 120 does get you back fast. I didnt run my car since the line was long but it was free and it was packed. I am probably gonna go back there SUnday. MVP motorsports is hosting something for the lexus/toyota guys so I might show up. I will have to double check it...Overall review at Dallas Raceway is that cleanup was pretty quick, the track itself is nice but it is still new, the staff is pretty cool. I liked the atmosphere and the lots are nice and big.

Pulled into a little bar for a while with my friend, had a small meal, and left. Better use of $10 for the night. Highlight of the night was a compliment on the TL's exhaust from a DB7 owner.
