I think DI has known. You have to realize most of the people that attend the meet are not on DI forums...It was a sudden influx of high school kids that came out of nowhere...and most of them are NOT on DI. Most of DI didnt care much since those werent there people so they had no control over them.

DI's known, but I've seen a few of their members mock the warning of police monitoring their boards which just seems careless to me.

But, in a positive manner, whose heading out to Motorsport Ranch June 6th? Apex is holding classes & Ruf Auto Centre is sponsoring the event this year due to Boardwalk concerning themselves with other issues.
I might be open to this. I've run Motorsport Ranch before. In fact, I've got an inside connection if we want to have an Acura event there.

It's not expensive if you know what to do. I paid $20 for a 30 minute session.

Wow that really isnt that bad. But new people have to run an intro course to the track dont they and run a few laps with an instructor? Thats what I have heard but it doesnt surprise me. Personally I have not ran MSR before so it would be something new. OF course Auto X is a different story but still. I might go whenever I get my new wheels tire combination or I can just borrow my friends 17's with slicks lol that would be interesting.

Anyway I was thinkin about baking the headlights and clearing the corner but dunno if it will look good. Theres the front still debating...

And a shits and giggles pic for those that want to see the short bus =D My buddies chopped minivan:

Most likely the 1.7 mile course as last year.

And yes, you will have to have an instructor if its your first time out. But, it's cheap to do a run if you go on an event-sponsored day like Ruf's.

That sounds fun. I will have to see if I can make the time for it. I will be tearing apart an S4 within the next few weeks and waiting for parts to come in and out lol.

MSR are cracking down on letting people drive on the track without memberships. Apex and TDE charge around 150-300/weekend for various events. That includes food and plenty of track time spread out over the course of 2 days. The last couple of ones I went to they had the 3.1m course open (counter and clockwise).

Eagles Canyon is a bit cheaper for track days, plus I dont think they are as strict.

Interesting. They had an event a while back with MVP over at eagles canyon. Was gonna go check it out but decided on not to as it was pretty far. Either way you gotta go far just to have a lil fun nowadays kinda sucks but oh well. At least Dallas Raceway is close!

Did I ever tell you thank you for taking those pics? Have mercy on me!

And..BTW EB's: I'm digging unemployment right now. Kinda like an extended vacation. Freedom from thinking about work is relaxation at it's finest!

I understand but its somwhere to at least get a little speed legally. I dont think my 19s will help any on the road course. I used to do a bit of autocrossing down at mineral wells. Its been a while since I have done any. Usually I just go out there to check out drift practice with my friends. Oh well I should be going again this Sunday. Gonna launch higher and seal the deal to the clutch probably. Gonna see if I can source a set of OEM rims and tires to borrow from a friend. Should have a good group of buddies goin as long as everything goes as planned.

Cool hope to see you out there this week. We need a TL corner lol. Usually I see one parked on the other side where I am parked! But yea if you guys ever need to find me I should be around Clublexus. They usually have a lil crew just ask for Nelson and they usually can tell you where I am or they will just call me up haha. I am usually out there by 9 unless we are working and prepping cars.

WELL! don't trash someone elses sport just because you don't like it.

Either's really a pain with fwd, but personally I think circuit racing is worse. There's not much you can do when more than 60% of your weight is on the front tires.

Anyway, I'm still hoping to get out to the new Dallas Raceway before the heat really builds.
